I use a small cushion underneath the hollow of my knees (when sleeping on my back) and between my knees and calves (when sleeping on my side). It's better for your back and legs and is very comfortable.

I usually sleep on my side, however i also have a very shallow sleep so i tend to wake up a lot, which is annoying.
