They have been around for ages with pen + OCR + text recognition, the ones that worked well were quite expensive in the past.

The first one I used was in the late 90s, needed the pen, then connect to a computer and it would take ages to process. The software required like a $1.3k license. It was pretty slow but accuracy was kinda okay?

Depends on the type of work. Telemarketing / customer service have quite a few jobs.


For higher skilled / paid roles you need the experience / qualifications. I have a few staff that are 100% remote still atm but it needs to be justified by their skills / qualifications. Everyone else is hybrid.
