I happened to be watching The Five on Fox News this afternoon and they were playing the clip and talking to Doocy after it happened and were laughing at the whole thing and making jokes. IDK, man. borders are kind of just arbitrary lines in the sand saying where you aren't allowed to go and who you have to let steal your money.
True freedom means no borders or travel/trade restrictions.

That would mean libs would be free to go to scandinavia if they wanted to really get away from it all. So then you wouldn't have to deal with most of them anymore.

Borders exist because huge empires haven't generally worked beyond a certain size historically. Also ethnic/cultural differences sometimes. But they're still just arbitrary lines at the end of the day.

That's my honest thought about the whole "invading borders" issue. Sure, since we live in the real world, I think they should be paying taxes and whatnot if they are here rather than freeloading on what little public infrastructure we have. But people are still people, whether they speak Spanish or English.

Maybe I've got a bit of a postmodern streak, too.

I think people really just don't want the current american culture to change, and therefore don't want other cultures to intrude. Which is fair, I don't love change either. And sure, drugs are a real thing that come over the border in huge amounts. I think that would be reduced if most of the drugs were legalized here.
Regarding drugs, if people want to ruin their lives with the hard stuff, it's a free country, so they should be allowed to do that. To an extent, I ascribe to the darwinist ideas, but only in that I'd let idiots take themselves out of the gene pool. I do not believe that any specific ideas are inferior, or that certain ideas should be forced into extinction, only that the really bad ideas will work themselves out if we stop putting training wheels and bubble wrap on everything to keep them perpetuating.

There's also the thing about immigrants working for less pay, but that's largely because companies aren't properly reporting them as employees since they're in a vulnerable position.
