QUOTE(Honeycat @ May 26 2022, 14:34) Schools need to have gates around them, cameras everywhere, panic buttons like banks have, security guards and solid locking doors, etc. But school buses don't even have seat belts so good luck with that.
Legally its not the schools responsibility if students or teachers die on the way to school grounds.

I just saw somebody who works on school designs talking about this. He said they don't do it because it costs too much, and the probability of an attack happening at any one school is too low to be worth it.
About 4,000 people in the U.S die of drowning every year, including 379 spa-or-pool-related drowning deaths involving children under the age of 15. Average deaths per year from school shootings is more like 30. Yet you don't see people REEEEEing about pool drownings and planning to turn society upside-down and spend billions of dollars to prevent them.
The reaction is pure horseshit. Bloomberg and the democrats want the American people disarmed so they're easier to control, so they focus the media on it to pretend there's a crisis.

I just think americans like guns too much and don't really need AR-15's. If you want to have 25 winchester rifles, go right ahead. if you want to 3D print guns, be my guest. Also, the rest of the western world doesn't have such severe gun violence (especially in schools) per capita, so clearly we could improve somehow. Mental health care, maybe? I really don't know. It just doesn't have to be "taking the guns away," necessarily. This post has been edited by dragontamer8740: May 27 2022, 04:31

White House Press Conference: : Reporter: (question on Biden's proposed tax increases) How does raising taxes on corporations reduce inflation? Karine Jean-Pierre: Umm.. so.... Are you talking about a specific tweet? Reporter: He tweeted "You want to bring down inflation, let's make sure the wealthiest corporations pay their fair share." : Karine: *looking thru notebook for pre-written answers* Karine: Look, we have talked about.. we have talked about it this past year, uh, uh about making sure that the wealthiest among us ARE paying their fair share. : Reporter: But how does raising taxes on corporations lower the cost of gas, the cost of a used car, the cost of food for everyday Americans? Karine: *looking thru notebook for pre-written responses* Karine: *reading from notes* So look, I think we encouraged those who have done very well, right? Especially those who care about climate change *continuing to read from notes* uhh.. to support a fairer t..tax code that doesn't change **error in reading!!!** **backtracks** ...that doesn't CHARGE manufacturers, workers, cops, builders, *very obviously reading canned answer from notebook* a higher percentage of their earnings. : Karine: *nearly no eye contact as she is really getting into staring at her notebook* Karine: ... That the most fortunate people in our nation, and not let this..this.. _that stand in the way of reducing energy costs and fighting this exa..existential _problem if you think about that is an example.... Karine: *continues to look wholly down at the notebook reading these words* *no maintained eye contact to audience because she is concentrating on reading from notebook* It was an unseemly press conference. Karine Jean-Pierre had problems with questions that couldn't be answered with a social justice answer. She needs to adjust her mindset because these press conferences aren't SJW political rallies or protest marches where social justice answers can be used to answer any question and the crowd eats it up. These are press conferences and the answering style for political rallies doesn't work. Well, she had a harsh day. I suppose she'll get better with the next one when her staff points out the problems. **FOLLOWUP** June 7th 2022Over a week later, Jean-Pierre does her 2nd briefing. There have been other briefings, but those were done by other people. This is the 2nd press briefing and it was short and there were topics Jean-Pierre refused to talk about such as the economy (which she stumbled hard on her prior press briefing). She did state that the economy is in "a better place than it has been historically" despite inflated consumer prices and recession-style gross domestic product growth within inflated prices boosting the gross domestic product growth values. So far, after two press briefings, she seems lost if she cannot respond with a discrimination complaint. However, the Press attending the briefing are too careful with their wording to allow Jean-Pierre to use her old well-known tactics. The Australian system was first proposed by the old NRA. 1. Increasing requirement for ownership as you go from bolt action rifle/shotguns, to hand guns, to semi-automatic rifles. 2. Requirement for proper handling and safety training. 3. Requirements for storage preventing kids from getting them 4. Requiring sales to go through gun stores and background checks Then you have the state level laws here, which add mental health checks, justifiable uses excluding self defense (probably too controversial in the US), criminal and mental health checks. There are waiting times for handguns and quite difficult to get semi-automatic rifles without an approved usage. The system might be too strict in some ways, as we won't be able to fend off an invasion but at the same time its less likely for external influences to spark a civil war like they are trying in the US.] edit: I'd also like to apologize to Carter, Brandon is now officially less popular than him. Brandon is the least popular president in US history. This post has been edited by EsotericSatire: May 27 2022, 05:31

Tragedies are just an opportunity for democrats to use appeal to emotion arguments to pass tyrannical legislation.
It's happened in Belgium/UK/NZ and maybe Germany but those cunts censor everything.

The rest of the Western world also doesn't have free speech and is plunging head-first into a totalitarian nightmare with little recourse for the citizenry.

Per FBI statistics, rifles are used in only 2.6% of homicides. That includes all AR derivatives along with every other type of rifle.
Back in 1994, "I don't like AR-15s" used to be a common attitude among gun owners in the United States. Most of them were what we call "Fudds" now: They liked wood-stocked & blued guns because they had grown up with them, and they didn't like ARs because they were new. By now, the AR-15 platform is called "America's rifle" because it's the single most popular type of gun in the country. It's like the IBM-PC of guns. It's out of patent, it's standardized because of the mil spec, you can get every piece from dozens of manufacturers in every grade from economy to premium. Nothing else is as versatile, and once people actually start using it, they discover that they like it, and they're not inclined to give it up.
I saw a nice picture the other day showing how a single naval gun shell casing, without even the projectile loaded, dwarfed an AR-15. That is what a "weapon of war" looks like. With the capabilities of the modern military and how they keep growing, we need ARs at the very least to keep any semblance of balance of power between the citizenry and the government.
Gun bans don't work because the criminals don't obey them. Only a tiny percentage of the population are violent felons, because we weed them out. If everyone has access to a given type of gun, only a tiny percentage of its owners will be violent criminals. If you completely ban the ownership of that type of gun, you flip the statistics - it is now guaranteed that the ownership will be 100% criminals.
Decades of the war on drugs has not reduced the availability of drugs; it just filled the prisons. According to a Nixon aide, they actually started the war on drugs because they wanted to go after blacks & hippies, and they needed an excuse. Gun bans today would work the same way. The Democrats want it so they can harass and imprison the other half of the political spectrum, but between uncontrolled borders, existing stockpiles, and home manufacture, availability would never actually decrease.
New York City has some of the most stringent gun laws in the United States. They catch & release their preferred minorities who are caught with guns, while any white non-democrats get the book thrown at them - despite the fact that it's only the ones they are letting go who commit any crimes besides possession of a prohibited object. Meanwhile gun crime in NYC hasn't decreased. We know exactly how it would work because they're already doing it.

The day after the Texas massacre, I was wondering how long it would be until the left would start blaming the police. Sure enough, they did and pretty quickly. Funny how the grocery store and school shootings happened so close to the NRA convention. Funny how there was the mysterious supreme court leak on doing away with abortion which causing upheaval. All of it's happening before mid-term elections so we can expect to see more. But I watched Trump speak at the NRA convention and he gave one of the best speeches I've ever heard him give. I watched it live on C-Span on TV. Here's a video link: Begins at 1:49 [ www.c-span.org] https://www.c-span.org/video/?520549-1/pres...onvention-texas

I thought they were not that impressive until I started watching full Biden speeches. He used to just do the creepy whisper yelling when being racist but now he does the mumble slurring. He has sets of expressions he uses to cover when he loses track or forgets what he was saying that worked in the past but now he's just chaining them together. I think it was a speech to a police association was just off the rails dementia. It reminded me of when relatives that I had got like that. Damn. At the quad meeting, the quad leaders were like WTF is this shit when Brandon's stooges kicked the media out.

Dems have nobody to put up for the 2024 presidential election that even they don't hate. I'm surprised Sussmann didn't get the Clinton curse and die before he went to trial. Unless they're going to magically get him exonerated for lying to the FBI. QUOTE Sussmann, who has pleaded not guilty, could face up to five years in prison if convicted, though there's no guarantee he would serve any time behind bars, and he'd likely get a lesser sentence as a first-time offender. There's the next Dem presidential candidate.
