Back when I used to hate Trump I used to keep an eye on some of his dodgy dealings
Getting a loan to develop overseas golf course resorts. He paid back the loans in full but then takes a loss for tax purposes selling them below the inflated valuation.
The Trump casino losses which the tax laws allowed him to claim as a deduction for a decade or more.
The most recent dodgy one was 2016, where he endorsed and signed legislation to support multi-level marketers, which democrats called something like the 'anti-pyramid scheme law'. Trump got some nice kick backs from that one but it had full democrat support so you never hear about it.
Everything he did was legal and taking advantage of the broken tax laws. Trump's tax returns were more legal than Joe Biden's.
Joe Biden took down several of his tax returns after people found he had broke the law several times: -Not reporting speaker engagement fees correctly, he reported them as donations to his foundation but he received the money. -Not reporting real estate deals that were effectively donations (people selling him properties for half price which he could then flip). -Not reporting rental income and misreporting the amount. -Not reporting income from Hunter and other family's consultancies, which was put through many shell companies to hide the income.

Leveraging for loans is what I'd expect him to do. Rich people don't really sell things. They just hoard assets to leverage against.
Trump's one of those people who can magically be broke one day when it's time to pay taxes but somehow still secure $200M in funding for their project the next day. I assume his accountants are already shuffling numbers around to make the fine fit into all this or possibly even serve a purpose. The system is designed to only punish the poor and middle class.
It's different when you're the opposition candidate in a banana republic.
Remember the so-called civil fraud trial? Banks had no problem with the valuation he claimed for his properties when using them for collateral, they are obligated to do their own due diligence, and he repaid the loans in full. Yet years later, the party of the left pronounces him guilty of fraud and requires him to post $454M in bond before even being allowed to appeal.
30 surety companies didn't want to touch the political lightning rod by lending him the money, or at least, they wanted backing in the form of cash and cash equivalents, which he didn't have.
All of this lawfare was intended to tie up what cash he did have, so he couldn't use it to run an opposition campaign.
Ultimately, the court was forced to reduce the bond, and at the last minute he was loaned the reduced amount by a supporter.

There were no injured parties or crime. The banks testified for Trump's defense because the crazy ruling affects all developers in NYC and virtually all properties in NYC are overvalued. It would actually destroy New York if they corrected the valuations because of all the loans on properties packaged into financial products.

So in the end everything worked out and he gets to use this sob story to coax a further few hundred millions dollars in campaign donation from his retard followers who think donating to a billionaire is going to solve all their problems? Huh, weird how that happens.
Obviously the courts have been weaponized and there's a bunch of shady shit going on in the Democrat camp. All I'm saying is that rich people don't actually get punished. When you're rich enough, money becomes much more abstract. It's not like when a court orders you or me to pay $10,000 and that means we actually have $10,000 less to spend on pokemon cards or whatever. Whether the charges are total bullshit or not, even with a guilty verdict and the astronomical numbers thrown around in newspaper headlines, this will have less of an impact on Trump's daily life than what the consequenes are for the average homeless shoplifter getting caught with an unpaid chocolate bar.
He is probably paying significant interest on that loan even if he wins on appeal.

People in the right wing camp are just as skeptical about the idea of donating to a billionaire. That said, $100 is a pretty abstract amount to the average American that won't meaningfully affect their finances, there are other millionaires and billionaires on the right who are more liquid (oh, big money donors are only allowed for the left?), and doing nothing isn't accomplishing anything either. You have to pool your resources somehow. What people do know is that four more years of Biden/Harris will destroy the country.
And, at least in left-wing big cities, homeless shoplifters get absolutely nothing. Stores in New York City are closing because they can't stop organized retail theft, let alone small-dollar shoplifting.

No, it won't. It'll just keep slowly getting worse like it has for all of 2000s. Or since the end of the gold standard, or the second world war, or wherever you want to draw that line. The US is too big to fall. Too many powerful people, in and out of the US, have it in their interests for the US and its economy not to fall.

Trump was mostly ineffective for most of his presidency due to lack of experience and the FBI / CIA / Hillary working against him. At the start he intended to be a Ronald Reagen and play ball with democrats but by the end he was implementing impactful policies.
He did manage to start achieving great things (which Biden quickly rolled back first day in office):
- Abraham accords: where they were making monumental progress towards peace treaties in the middle east and we would not have the current mess. (rolled back).
-Energy independence of the US (rolled back and strategic reserve emptied)
- No new wars and exit plans for existing wars (Biden started new wars and tried to prevent exiting existing wars)
- Opportunity zones: federal funding for low interest loans in low socio-economic areas, which was massively boosting African American entrepreneurs (very quickly rolled back by Biden)
-Bail reform and prison reform: started making sentencing reforms and funding rehabilitation/integration programs that rolled back some of Joe Biden's crime act (Biden loves that bill and so he rolled the reforms back too).
Generally Republicans /RINOs are corrupt do nothing foggies or globalist shills and Democrats are corrupt radicals or globalist shills. Trump is an 80s NYC Democrat asking why policies do not benefit the US (and US businesses in particular) anymore.
Biden set a record for cancelling the highest number of pro-America executive orders in his first week. He even said he wasn't reading what he was signing just doing what his handlers told him to do.
This video flew under the radar with all the trial stuff going on. It was after the Diddy abuse story broke and CNN had a rapper on asking him questions about it. I never heard of this guy but he owned CNN. He promoted his sex stimulant energy drink and his show while evading her questions.

Meanwhile, Hunter Biden is facing his own trial. I happened to turn on CNN and these two bitches were spinning it like they felt sorry for him and Biden due to his drug addiction.
The reporters spoke in soft sad voices and said Biden was a concerned father of an addict and many Americans have family members who are addicts. I almost laughed and couldn't even believe what I was hearing. Hunter Biden is fucking 54 years old, not a teenager. There's open borders bringing in tons of drugs killing people every day and coke found in the White House and Capitol. These activist reporters and woke news outlets are crazy. Of course Hunter will be excused.

They already have lowered the charges as much as possible. They aren't even talking about how he tried to get secret service to destroy ATF and gun store records and also to cover up the disposal of the gun.
He's 100% guilty but they are going for a not guilty verdict. His defense is that he was so fucked up on crack and cocaine that (even though he's gone to rehab several times, and had several cases where he was admitted to rehab for his addict to drop the charges) they are claiming he did not know he was an addict.
Hunter - too fucked up on drugs to be charged.
Joe - Too senile to be charged.
