Speaker of the House Mike Johnson: QUOTE Today is a shameful day in American history. Democrats cheered as they convicted the leader of the opposing party on ridiculous charges, predicated on the testimony of a disbarred, convicted felon. This was a purely political exercise, not a legal one.
The weaponization of our justice system has been a hallmark of the Biden Administration, and the decision today is further evidence that Democrats will stop at nothing to silence dissent and crush their political opponents.
The American people see this as lawfare, and they know it is wrong—and dangerous. President Trump will rightfully appeal this absurd verdict—and he WILL WIN! Senator Marco Rubio of Florida: QUOTE The verdict in New York is a complete travesty that makes a mockery of our system of justice
A political show trial conducted by an openly pro-Biden judge whose daughter makes money off the case, a jury from the most liberal county in America, absurd and ridiculous charges and outrageous jury instructions that guaranteed guilty verdicts
Biden and the Trump deranged left will stop at nothing to remain in power Trump's campaign contribution site has been crashing from all the traffic.

I wonder if, were J.P. Morgan to have been convicted of a felony, he'd have gotten other people to fund his appeals and stuff
Just feels funny that idiots donate to a millionaire's campaign

They are boiling mad, and doing it to show solidarity.
Every Republican/Conservative in the United States right now is saying, "The demonrats are going to come after us next." 50% of the country no longer believes they will receive a fair trial.
Either we hang together, or we shall most certainly hang separately.

I remember there is a limit to the fact that you can't use your own money to run a campaign. Not saying this can completely prevent them from using their own money for propaganda.

I thought they would find him guilty on maybe 5 counts but not ALL of them. Another fucking OJ Simpson kangaroo court case with a bias jury. But instead of acquitting they convicted. If they're going to do it to Trump then they'd better start doing it to the rest of the politicians who are actually guilty of all the shit they do. QUOTE(Necromusume @ May 30 2024, 13:09) ![*](style_images/ambience/post_snapback.gif) Trump's campaign contribution site has been crashing from all the traffic.
This whole thing is backfiring on the woke left and strengthening his voter base. Even CNN was fretting over it because they need him to keep their ratings alive. I was reading comments after Biden's recent disastrous pandering to darkies and they're going to vote for Trump now. I suppose it would be cool if we had a convicted felon as a president. At this point why the fuck not. This post has been edited by Honeycat: Jun 1 2024, 03:11

tbh this is probably good for his campaign. The last proof he needed that the system is corrupt and using all possible methods to prevent fair democratic elections from taking place. I mean, that's the narrative at least. I honestly don't think the "oh I would never vote for a convicted criminal!" is as big of a demographic as CNN or NYT would like us to think.

I'm pretty sure this is gonna get him back in the oval office.
I don't like Trump, but the level of fuckery the democrats have perpetrated in order to get him here is a sign that the system is broken beyond repair.
I just hope someone doesn't do something insane on his behalf.

Either we hang together, or we shall most certainly hang separately. If you thought you could get a fair trial in america, I want some of whatever you've been smoking. The interesting thing here is that this is a rich person who is facing punishment for what is (at most, ostensibly) white collar crime

Yeah, but... is he really? He'll be ordered to pay some fine out of his fortune that is largely speculative and/or illusory and buried so deep under layers of aggressive tax planning and cross holdings and investments as to be whatever the accountants need it to be at any given moment. He'll continue living his life exactly the same way he's lived so far, then likely get re-elected president. If you thought rich people actually get punished in America, I want some of whatever you've been smoking.

The problem is that he is asset rich (mostly already heavily leveraged) with property assets whose value is driven up by speculative bubbles. Apart from leveraging for loans, he would have difficulty getting the best price for most of his assets. Also like in NYC where they tried to legally devalue his assets then seize them all at the lower value. Biden admin is at risk of ending property rights but they are part of the 'you will own nothing' crowd anyways. I suppose the rich people were freaking out because they thought only the poors would be crushed. I wonder how long until Blackrock is officially elected president if Biden wins the next election.

Oh, no wonder he's so woke. He's got an entire plantation. QUOTE Robert De Niro denied leadership award after speaking out against Trump
National Association of Broadcasters rescinds honor after actor’s comments outside ex-president’s criminal trial in New York
“This event is proudly bipartisan, uniting those from across the political spectrum to celebrate the impactful work of local broadcasters and our partners,” a spokesperson said in a statement to the political outlet. “While we strongly support the right of every American to exercise free speech and participate in civic engagement, it is clear that Mr. De Niro’s recent high-profile activities will create a distraction from the philanthropic work that we were hoping to recognize. To maintain the focus on service of the award winners, Mr. De Niro will no longer be attending the event.” De Nero (not a typo) didn't seem very pissed about it. I guess he's too high on the conviction, or Hunter's coke. QUOTE “If he gets in, I can tell you right now, he will never leave,” said De Niro. What kind of idiotic statement is that? If Trump gets elected again he'll be in the White House four more years, hopefully fix our country and then leave. If they keep pulling all this bullshit on him, he'll never go away. Leveraging for loans is what I'd expect him to do. Rich people don't really sell things. They just hoard assets to leverage against. Trump's one of those people who can magically be broke one day when it's time to pay taxes but somehow still secure $200M in funding for their project the next day. I assume his accountants are already shuffling numbers around to make the fine fit into all this or possibly even serve a purpose. The system is designed to only punish the poor and middle class.
