I mean, the dems did put forward a bill that would have given the border funding, something which trump's old immigration guy said was a better use of time than trying to impeach biden's, but for some reason they suddenly won't vote for it in an election year. Perhaps because they don't want anything good to happen on sleepy Joe's watch.

Biden's a turd, but it's kind of the GOP's fault in the context he's talking about.

Aim to reduce illegal migration to zero.

I don't believe that anyone has any more right to exist at any given coordinate on earth than anyone else. I do prefer if they were able to come here legally so they couldn't be exploited as much by abusive employers who know they have these people by the balls. But for some of these people, they can't afford to wait multiple years. They're in a shitty situation, and if they are doing something that they think might make their situations better then I don't want to tell them they can't because of a line in the sand.

I think America kind of sucks already, to be clear. And I don't think it's truly migrants' faults, but that they are victims much moreso than American citizens of the suckiest parts.

Who do you think is responsible for the border? The Biden / Mayorkas DHS has a >85% release rate for Illegals detained at the border. That's 3.3m that were initially detained then released. Estimate of illegals being caught was also falling from estimated >70% to above 50%. The new legislation sets minimum releases at 5k per day and a soft cap of 8.5k per day. When you say that Dems want 0 illegal migration, what you mean is they want to make all illegal migration legal so technically its true due to an open border policy.


Trump's executive orders and a few of his appointments reduced the flow of illegals dramatically based on the existing laws. There are now nearly as many per day as per month previously.



Also as I have mentioned, Trump was not part of the DC crowd. He had few contacts and made many poor appointments based on recommendations from establishment RINOS that were part of the in-crowd in DC.
He had little political experience and social as a business man, and most of his political networking was previously all with popularist Democrats, and then with Tea party republicans that all had been side lined by that stage. Trump literally believed that his party and people in the institutions would do as he said if he was president because that is what is supposed to occur on paper.

If I were raking in the big bucks, my views might differ, but I live sort of in the margins. And I hope I'd still be able to find compassion and understanding for those without my opportunities.
