Anti-consumer fans should like this as it decreases throw-away consumerism and encourages people to stick with old appliances, old PC, and repair their old stuff instead of buying new shiny things.
I compared my recent purchases with a prior record history of online purchases at the same store (thanx big brother) and see that a list of regularly-consumed items bought back in Feb 21, 2021 now cost me $51 at the same store. It's been about one year, so that kind of price increase from $33 --> $51 is a bit alarming. I did not include items that had hidden inflation by keeping the price just a little bit higher but reducing the content by 20% or so. One item increased the price by 7% but decreased the size from 12oz to 8oz. Progressives against consumerism would say there was only 7% price inflation, so inflation isn't high at all. Hmmm. So instead of buying two of that item to be 24oz, I now have to buy three of that item each of which went up 7%, so my wallet sees a product at 21% more cost for the same 24oz quantity since jan 2021.
