I was going to say it was a 'gotcha' for Baldwin because the bandolier he brought onto set contained three live rounds by accident. They are now saying that was provided by Gtierrez-Reed from a previous set.

But the sharp shooting consultant, the armorer's father, brought a can of 300 rounds onto set for the training session with staff / actors.

The story as reported was that she loaded 5 confirmed dummy rounds, and ticked off they were dummy. The sixth would not load due to discharge. When they resumed filming, she cleaned the gun and quickly loaded the gun with a bullet from the dummy ammo box, which happened to be live ammo. There was other live ammo mixed in.

Baldwin was trying to prank the director and camera dude by shooting off a blank and it went wrong. They showed that the type of gun couldn't be fired accidentally like he had claimed.

It feels like there are multiple layers of stupid that have piled up in this case.


Now the trial is about who is to blame, the person that loaded the bullet or the person that pulled the trigger. Now they are both using the defense that they don't know where the bullets came from.

I honestly like that because gender shouldn't fucking matter at all, and this hurts no one while also making less money for overpaid doctors to milk from people.

If they ever start letting people get hormones without an Rx, that'll be the more surprising thing to me. Not opposed to that, for the same reason I think people should be allowed to fuck themselves up with drugs if they want to.

As for the "misgendering" thing, intent should matter. Accidentally calling someone what you are guessing they identify as should be fine as long as when corrected you try to be better. If you're intentionally doing something with the intent to make someone who's mentally unwell feel worse about themselves, then you're a dick.
