Mages worked just fine in the past when we had restricted items. You just had slightly different builds (pen 5, econ 4 was the standard staff IW and maybe some frugal pieces). I don't think there were issues for anything but GF. I don't think that mechanic should be reintroduced, but you over-exaggerate somewhat.

I have in fact been considering introducing some kind of weight system where the final burden is calculated as (weight of equipment + weight of items carried into battle) and strength subtracts from that somewhat, where the items would also resupply at some points during a series of battles, mostly to factor into the viability of lighter melee builds. It might still happen after some dependencies are added, but will be kind of a pain to balance.

Would a lighter melee build then suffer penalties to evade crit if they carry too much?

It sounds like a solid plan as I dont like infinite battle items, and I like being able to use items picked up during battle, the way battles currently work is less engaging as I don't really look at what is dropped until the end popup script as it is not relevant.

Having the bazzar or a smaller shop with limited items available at certain points in a battle would be good, an auto resupply would limit options because in the tower now I don't really use potions until the later rounds, so i have draughts on constantly for the first part then i add in potions as neccessary. If we could purchase and/or select from a different grouping of battle items to resuply that would increase flexibility.

I prefer to play without worries. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) It would be extremely annoying to have to be formulating strategies for each type of challenge. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

Rather than creating difficulties, provide more facilities. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

No, but with max 6 per year, there may be a max to the number of years you yourself are able to play. That will be a hard cap in the end.

It finally happened. I have a magnificant force-shield since pretty early in Isekai, and now I got so many defense matrix drops, that I actually can't upgrade because of the lack of mid-grade wood. My settings are to salvage exqu shield and staffs, but because of the severe lack of those dropping, I can't upgrade the shield's block anymore (it's currently at 15, with 2 defense matrix modulators to spare) . I never used any mid-grade wood for anything else.

For future seasons it may really be a good idea to think about an exchange of materials at least. It's kinda funny to see how even with its obscene rarity, defense matrix modulators end up the lesser problem.

No, it is not a bug. The "title matches your level" setting will only keep your title at "Lord". You need to manually set it to "Godslayer", "Dohvakin", "Ponyslayer", etc.

Don't know if this would be relevant, but I was able to detach an equipment from an incoming mooglemail 10 minutes before the last month of spurting started. The mail itself was sent 1.5 hours before that.
