QUOTE(Ikki Pop @ Apr 6 2022, 21:42) got 7 MM with items today it would be better not to take them now?
we have no clue where they would be supposed to go... but it won't hurt if you don't take the items for a couple of days

In many cases readouts are likely to be a little weird due to the way the shutdown script was written initially. Most players should have received their near-complete stock but there are likely to be a few fragmented cases with odd numbers. This is partly caused by long-standing unknown edge cases with the HV/EH interfaces. I am aware of one double recall bug in recent times and there may have been other withdrawals like this in the past. If you are aware of one of these cases or feel that you have sustained a significant loss, please read on: QUOTE(mundomuñeca @ Apr 6 2022, 14:45) As Noni said, impossible to fix without a Ledger; possibly Nezu could generate such a ledger from his database, but it would probably be a difficult and long work. I cannot see him undertaking it now, with his health problem.
The stock records have been unaffected by the shutdown process and are fully recoverable; I can provide authoritative records and Moogle trails for all unsold stock at time of shutdown - albeit a little tedious to process on a player-by-player basis, so depending on the volume of issues and what process we decide on for fixing them, there may be a significant delay before I can come back to properly handle those. Hopefully this can be limited to only high-value cases.

QUOTE(Nezu @ Apr 6 2022, 22:41) Most players should have received their near-complete stock
I doubted if that's true...In my case I have web cached my HVM stock page on the same day HVM is down (3/24), and according to my record I have currently received only ~30% amount of my stock, with 70% outstanding stock equivalent to ~9.1M worth @low & ~11M @my selling price. Most of my outstanding valuable items are Trophies, which was sent to HVM on a daily basis. I guess that's why I have only received 4 (2+2) Noodly now, which are likely the most recent MMs (1-2days) I have sent. And I still got 40 Noodly left on HVM according to my record. I afraid this would also happen on other players that was sending items to HVM frequently, most likely trophies or any other items they were storing, the amount & hence the total value could be large. tenboro is considering integrating a HVMarket-like service in hentaiverse. Please check with tenboro before starting your own rebuild. You may know that I have a track-record of being too optimistic about the speed of development, but in this case I'm optimistic about the speed of development. We'll see.

Hey, I got some HVM recall moogles but they are basically repeats of what I previously got. I removed a few before realizing they were not infact stuff I was missing. I can turn them in whenever but I think moogles to hvm are disabled so I'll wait.

So I sent a small pack of items to HVMarket on the 25th before I found out about the situation, and it says it was opened 3 days ago, but I have yet to get anything back.
Are they gone for good? It wasn't anything BIG, just a "precurser artifact" and "scroll of the gods", but they're still worth something... [attachmentid=162802]

Not likely to be lost, as you have said "3 days ago" but I kept receiving xtal packs in different mails, the most recent of which was just yesterday. Crystals are grouped at 20k, jamming the mail system. This might be the majority in the queue, I guess. This post has been edited by Arith Undine: Apr 10 2022, 03:23

@nezu You reported that you would put the site code up online. Do you have a GitHub link?
Also, I'm terribly sorry to hear about you health! As someone perpetually on disability, I have *some* experience with the "chronic health issues" thing, so good to hear you are taking care of yourself! (At first, when I attempted to lookup info, I thought that someone might have died or something.)
I was sad to see the market go down—unfortunately, it wasn't until about a month or so ago that I even discovered that there *was* a marketplace—maybe, that can be an add-on for the next update, oh great fearless coders and admins of HV? [Looks with great pleading eyes, cuz grinding be giving me WOW flashbacks! 🤦🏽♂️to coincide with worsening carpel tunnel from gaming on ze phone. 🤦🏽♂️ [I gotta figure out where to report HV bugs so someone can take a look at Firefox for Android—me no want to use Chrome to play! [Hisses] My poor drop down menus! [Cry]y
Anyhow, Nezu, I hope you feel better & get well.
On a side note: If someone wants to manage it, I wouldn't mind funding a server archon. I figure for a text based game, the hosting requirements aren't exactly crazy, just a lot of low bandwidth simultaneous connections—transactions.
Unfortunately, no, I sadly do not possess an IBM Mainframe lying around my garage, so I can't offer *that* sort of reliability. Yes—the tragedy!
But, in mostly all seriousness, given how important HV is to the survival/usability of the general site, and how crippling not having an auction house/marketplace for consistent mats access, without a viable market, HV becomes rather brutal and single player vs a more community experience. Nezu, you truly completed an honorable feat with the community! You all should be so proud! [Applause] Even with bugs, it showed how drastically improved the game becomes (and more fun) when one has access to (at minimum) a mats marketplace. :3
I wouldn't say that the site being rip is "inconvenient" as much as showing inherent flaws in the game dynamics. A market incentives more experienced players to contribute their excess resources to the community at large while also helping players, particularly newer players like myself, not have to reinvent the wheel, thereby incentivising us to play, participate, and thereby interact more on the main site. I find that it for me creates a cyclical, compounding increase in participation—particularly for those of us without fibre connections that could enable us to due P2P support for Hath (Even Comcast Business Class only offers 15Mbps up. 😭😭😭) as opposed to merely doing limited support.
I hope that the community of the HV development team finds a means to pickup the pieces caused by (quite relatably) life, so that things may progress.
That said, if you setup a HVMarket GitHub or similar for the code dump and other stuff, that would definitely help consolidate stuff. :3
Anyhow, MANY MANY THANKS! ❤️💯🙇🏽🙏🏽
[And I wasn't kidding about shelling out for server support. Ice do it myself at home, but like I said—no meaningful uploads capacity—US Infrastructure = 😭😭😭😭🤦🏽♂️ but a virtual or dedicated server I could definitely fund if we have the code public & if some generous folks would be up to helping manage said virtual/dedicated server(s).]
Anyhow, let me know & take care everyone!
Thank you again for your dedication & service!

Did someone make a list of all the latest HV prices? I recall that someone did, but now I can't find that post. Or maybe I dreamed about this game and imagined it. I want to buy some bindings, but now I can't check what things were most recently going for. I used to use other methods for this, but HVMarket took a lot of activity away from elsewhere, so it was a convenient way to check pricing trends. edit: Nevermind, found it. This post may be deleted by anyone with such powers. Or it could be left if deemed useful here. QUOTE(Pretty anon @ The HentaiVerse Chat) Since HVMarket went 502 close to Super's auction that week I went looking for archives of the market prices for proxy bid reference within my own MM records, snapshots and archival sites. archive.org was no good with a snapshot of January at most but google did have a more recent one. With the official closure of HVMarket there's no reason to hold onto this anymore. Hopefully it may serve as reference for everyone else too. March 23rd snapshot of the HVMarket prices This post has been edited by BlueWaterSplash: Apr 15 2022, 19:50

I guess everyone has read this news by now. We can expect a permanent replacement, in-game, in June 2022.

HVM is gone. Stuff is lost. No refunds. Can't make it any better than it is. It's like that, and that's the way it is.
