QUOTE(Nezu @ Nov 13 2021, 20:18) *

It returns to the seller's shop inventory at whatever their price is currently set to for that item. If the price was deleted, it should default to 0.

so in that case, it basically going to loop infinitely because the item's price was set to match highest bidder, at least until the seller intervene by setting a higher price or there is another bidder with higher price...
Am I correct???

This could be achieved with a userscript to be honest, as long as it's reasonably rate limited (something like 4 requests per second should be fine). I have no plans currently to provide a multi-search or multi-purchase API, but may do in the future if there's still interest when I have more time I want to spend on it.

Well if it is considered a low priority for you then its fine...
I guess I could done it by setting buying price very low, then change it on manage price tab as I used to...

That's generally an easy way to do this. In that regard it would be helpful, if buying orders don't disappear, just like selling prices. They'd just be listed at 0, and can be removed if you'd want to.

Agreed...
That's the workaround I used to get items sent in 1 MM...
The other alternative is kinda more challenging, like opening multiple tabs then execute the buying orders as fast as possible and hope everything falls under the same update cycle... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/faint.gif)

Yes, although if I remember correctly when the cancellation happens, the whole buy order is also deleted for that person (if not, I'll modify this when I'm sober).

It's a weakness that the seller can't pull their goods if they change their mind during this time, but it's beyond the point of sale from their concern anyway. If this is abused by two players to permanently keep one person's stock out of sale, they will simply both be banned.

From what I see, it doesn't delete the bidder's buy order...
The item still resent to the same person because there isn't any higher bid...
When I look at his purchase log, there are other people who experience the same thing with various items and values...
To be clear, I'm not blaming that person...
Maybe he just couldn't find time to be online and accept the MM... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

This should now be fixed, along with another minor bug with the player log pages having the wrong 'your shop' link. Let me know if it isn't.

Oh, double post, but I also added the ability for reserve buy prices to be set to 0 price or 0 quantity, and they won't auto-delete when your fulfil your order anymore. This affects a fair few different parts of the system so let me know if anything's visually weird.

I find it strange people selling stuff below of bazzar's value.
Perhaps having bazzar's value displayed, or a small popup when trying to sell below bazzar's value, to help the distracted?

Market could have a minimum bid, which is the bazaar price, I think.
The reason people sell below bazaar price is because right now I don't think there is any way to withdraw your stock from the market. Only way to get rid of it is to be bought by someone and for that you have to lower the price - even below reasonable one.

P.S.

Thanks Kamio!

Withdrawing items is already possible, you can do that from "manage prices" page. It's easy to overlook if you don't know it's there I guess, I managed to miss it too when I first started using the site.

Alright, I apologise. I somehow missed that. Sorry about that.

If I may I would make two suggestions (unless these are also already implemented and I have somehow missed those).

A) It would be really convenient if it would be possible to switch on dealing with the existing deposit instead of having to cash in the Moogle mail itself. At the same time it would switch off the automatic weekly withdrawal. That would reduce unnecessary mailing of unwanted credit that could be used directly in the marketplace. If the withdrawal by request keep working the way it does then there's no worries.

Only problem would be that at the moment all the credits sent to Market are treated as donations and users can't add to their already deposited funds. That could be solved by requiring a topic for the mail to be either "donation" or "deposit" or something like that.

(IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) If deposits would work then another nifty little feature would be reserving deposited funds for purchase bids.

What this effectively would achieve is that people who make extravagant bids and can't pay the Moogle mail would be required to have deposited funds available right away for the purchases. And the same goes for future bids that require reserving funds to serve the bids accordingly.

If you think how Steam Wallet works then you get the idea what I mean.

I think this would lower the amount of cancelled orders and would make deals instantaneous (at least some of them). Obviously coding all this would be a hustle.

Or what others think about this?

C) Oh, third suggestion actually. What about Isekai Market?

Edit:

I also encountered a bug. Someone sold 1 draught for 1 credit yet the Moogle asks for 10 credits. What's with that?

I don't see any need for a deposit system. Let's only try to solve problems that are actual problems, mkay?

C) Isekai has no postage paid, and stuff disappears end of season, and we have a no-MM freeze period, so: Not a good idea. At all.

Minimum COD is 10c, that's not something HVMarket is responsible for. It's a feature of HV0.88

These have been requested before & I've considered doing them, but there's a risk of it being abused, so I'll reconsider another time maybe.

Not doable due to CoD taxes.

Not a bug, 10c is the minimum CoD so it rounds up.

Not sure if this is the right place, but it's been around 3 hours that the HVMarket isn't sending the transactions.

Not entirely sure what caused that one (the exception traceback is looking like it's more the framework's fault than mine) but it's working again now. Probably.

Actually, it turns out it was a small bug that came with the introduction of buy orders being reset to 0 quantity if an order is cancelled; I've pushed the fix so this won't happen again. At least not for the same reason.

For what it's worth, the fastest way to get my attention is to @ me on Discord and I should usually see it as soon as I'm around.

It's automatically sent every week instead of everyday now. You can manually claim from the Account menu.

It seems that the hamsters that power the Market have taken some extended break time off the wheel and caused it to stall.
