HVmarket is the best thing that could happen to HV player, for the fact that you receive your goods in minute if brought from sellers.
It's awesome when one is just short on a few materials for repairing their armor, and willing to pay the higher price than WTS to make it quick.

As the time I post this, Energy cell is out of stock on HVmarket. As I dont have coupon clipper and just short on a few materials for repairing, this incident has made me appreciate HVmarket so much more.

To be honest - Coupon Clipper takes less than a second to process, with HVUtils, if mails are formatted even vaguely correctly - so it's much more convenient for me to just answer mails normally and tap the HVUtils button than it is to restock HVMarket occasionally, which would just be stopping me from actually using my credits (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Hi everyone, I noticed someone maybe has been using HVmarket to influence the Obsolete item auction price.
I am not sure if such practice is allowed on HVmarket, I will describe what happened, and hopefully someone could tell me if I should mind my own business.

I suspect wanry1331 has been placing unwanted WTB on HVmarket, in order to jack up the price for his obsolete item, at Super's auction ends July 24th (https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?showtopic=249999)

Before the auction ended, I checked out WTB price for Annoying Dog, found out someone what to buy Annoying Dog for 200k, so I was a little angry at myself for selling it at only 100k.

Then, I found out that WTB price for Iridium Sprinkler has increased to 250k. Last timeI checked(17th of July) , the highest WTB for Iridium Sprinkler as only 33k. So I sold Iridium Sprinkler at 250k, then surprisedly found out the person who's buying is also selling the item.
Of course I wondered why wanry1331 will buy Iridium Sprinkler at a higher price then he's selling for.

After the auction ended, wanry1331 cancelled his order. Then I checked the WTB price for Annoying Dog, the 200k order for Annoying Dog has disappeared.
So I check the cancel log, found him also reject tow Annoying Dog offer.

I think wanry1331 never want to order any of these items, but only to jack-up the price for auction. Not sure if that violates any auction law, but should such practice be allowed on HVmarket?

Though knowing banning one account will not stop such mal practice, but that's be caution next time in the auction.

As wanry1331 said himself, he played HV Years ago and reached LV. 246 and returned in Juli. He asks us in the Chinese Thread if he can sell the Xmas Trophies to support his Playing, and we advise him there to sell those Trophies in Auction and buy some new Equipments.

It's impossible to really know the motive behind trades on HVMarket and I can't realistically moderate every transaction within the context of everything that happens on HV.

Because of that, I can only really think about the effect of trading on HVMarket alone, not why they happen.

If a user cancels a couple of items, it can easily be a mistake... so there's no reason to ban this. It's only if it becomes a habit, and they frequently cancel items.

In other words, one time might be weird, but users that try to do this every week would get banned.

(Note that this also means I don't want to hear the excuses behind every weird transaction - I'll just work with what I can see and verify for myself, using HVMarket data.)

Cancel feature could be very abusive, this is one of many examples you can do bad things with buying things and cancel it.

Mistakes happen. I'm not going to remove a valid feature because a few people abuse it, especially when all the information is publicly available to watch for repeat offenders.

Thank you for clarifications Nezu, I will drop the matter now since I was not effected directly.

I hope this type of scam-alike practice wont happen in the future, and yes the resellers also need to be cautious next time and take their loss.

There's no need to cause a witch hunt, let alone one that is probably just a mistake. I can't imagine you have any proof whatsoever that it wasn't just a mistake either. Best just letting it go.
