Updated the first post to codify stuff that came up in this thread. No actual rule changes as such.

I suggested to BunBun that people shouldn't include details as to what they are including in updates because it screws up search results (people say things like: added X which then screws up searches for X.), but he responded with "maybe"...

I don't think we need a rule either. However, I've suggested that the user in question updates his shop less frequently.

I think we should split Auctions into their own subforum section. They are pushing shops down (unfairly, I think).

I don't think it's a big problem. Anyway, I can't create new subforums, so you would have to ask Tenboro.

I made some tweaks to the wording in the first post. No real changes to the actual rules. I'm mainly saying this in the hope that some people might see there's a new post and decide to actually read the thread. Though I'm probably wasting my time...

Following the debate in this thread, I've fiddled with the wording of the guidelines again. (I also took over ownership of the first post from BunBun, I mean Beryl, to avoid him taking the blame.) If you don't like what I've done, feel free to comment. If you can't tell what I've done, don't worry about it.

Made a very small edit to reflect the fact that everyone should now be able to edit their thread titles in WTS/WTB. So that's one less thing I have to do for you.

Ask for threads to be deleted when you're finished with them

we recommend you use the Report button instead. It's right there at the bottom of every post[*], and it's quicker than changing the thread title to "Closed". It really is much easier all round. But however you want to do it, please don't just make a post saying "Mods can delete this thread" and expect it to magically disappear. We have better things to do with our time than read WTS threads every day.

For the sake of my sanity, if you want your thread deleted, change the title to "DELETE". Once every few days, I'll purge all threads with that title.

Can we please have enforced requirement to put (range) level of sold equipment in the thread title. Kudos to those folks which doing that already.

Simple e.g. [level 280-340] before thread title et Voila. Many people save time by not browsing aimlessly.

The guideline hasn't been updated for like half a year. And why should the level range be enforced? If you read the guy's level you can simply deduce most of his equip's level. There isn't any necessity to force everyone to do so.

To find out his level you must go into the thread first in which case you can see the equipment's level directly. Or alternatively go to his use page which is equal amount of time/work/effort compared to seeing at a glance.
The idea is to look at the forum and see at a glance the level range of items sold at each thread.

Also, people can sell second hand stuff that is higher level then they are or old equipment that is lower level then they are.

That being said, enforcement is probably going overboard. Maybe just a recommended but not enforced guideline?

Or you may PM mods and see if they'll add that.
