oh yeah seems like some people had been cleared while some new ones arrived. Hope that the weather is beginning to clear up soon.

I have the same problem.
I have router static IP and no proxy, so unfair to me. (just like the rapidshare shit)
Plus I have been serving H@H from time to time. (served 67,000+ files, not much but still an effort)

QUOTE(smallfonts @ Jan 13 2010, 11:54) *

i'm from singapore and i have the same issues with restricted connections to the gallery page. It appears that whoever that is connected to a shared network (ie. cable) will inevitably be exposed to this problem. the only solution however is to attempt to use a proxy (which does not belong to a shared network) so that the website doesn't deem you as a threat. How ironic isn't it, the only way to access the web page is to attempt what the website is essentially trying to prevent. Perhaps the best way to restrict users of excessive access to the galleries is to make logging in mandatory before entering the galleries, as opposed to banning ips. In that way the website will be able to monitor the usage limits of each user and ban reculcitrant abusers without affecting the mass of other innocent users

yes i think this can solve the problem.
hope the problem begone.

Bleh, to think I had to make an account and post about it...

I am from Singapore as well, and had tested out tons of IPs provided by Star Hub. All those I had tested didn't work at all so screw Star Hub for being laggy and poor IP managements.

I seriously do not wish to use proxies for accessing the gallery. Why not just give each registered account a 50 - 100mb limit, that is more than enough for people to get their fap material. (Well, usually.)

Its stupid...the LAW-ABIDING people are getting SCREWED OVER while those using proxies (for abuse or otherwise) are fapping all the way to the bank. I've been officially downed for more than a month now, and I seriously give up.

oh yeah so now its official we have to hack the system for us to gain entry or just forget and leave the site.

Thats a wonderful conclusion.

Well as others mention unless some things with the system change or we will be kept out and away.

Really a ZZZZ sitiuation

If you're having a problem most people don't seem to be having, like image loading problems, please run HijackThis and post the log here. We don't actually check for spyware, but it tells us a lot about what you have running on your computer.

Did you do it? The quote is from the top of this topic. Don't expect to be helped when you don't provide information needed to resolve the problem.

Let's hope that when Tenboro gets enough of those, a pattern will emerge.

So it seems we decent users have to suffer for something we didn't do right? Tenboro is ignoring us just because he would rather sacrifice one thousand decent users to ban one leecher.

No fix even for people who help the site by running H@H? (like me (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif))

Well....I don't think that's a really nice way to put it. I'm sure Tenboro is trying hard to implement a way around this. That, or there's really nothing that can be done at the moment. I'm already resigned to the fact that my access is going to be down for a while, until the problem fixes itself or Tenboro finally figures out a solution.

Making statements like that isn't going to help, because Tenboro doesn't own us a living and we can always get our fix of hentai from other places in the meantime. It's not the end of the world.

Yet, that is. >_>

Many of you are also ignoring his request for more information by not providing HijackThis summary. This doesn't help in discovering why you have trouble accessing the site.

I don't want to put it this way either. But just see how many of us in this thread got frustrated and hopeless after every failed means we tried. We didn't do anything wrong and yet we tried everything possible to get this site back to us. I know Tenboro don't owe us anything, AND I know whether I put this statement or not, things won't change anyway. Because Tenboro has given his final solution:

Yup, I know what's wrong, but there's no fix for it except for not using proxies that are also used for abusive behavior.

This solution is impractical for most of us because we DIDN'T use any proxy at all.

Dlaglacz, i think it would help if you could update the first post in the thread with all the info current on this problem and ask people to post their hijackthis logs if you really do want them(im not sure if you have sufficient privelges though).

Right now from reading through the thread, my understanding is that the problem is due to some anti-flood system that was put into place recently, and this has to do with proxies being abused, correc?

I would like to highlight that if this is true, the system is apparently not working properly because even ISP side proxies are being "black listed". These proxies are supposed to be secured from outside access(unless of course you have evidence showing that a non customer has managed to gain access to their proxies for illegal use...in which case i suggest you contact the ISPs involved), and are in most cases, totally random(there is no way for the user to choose which proxy he is connecting through), and there is no way to "bypass" this.

If people are consistently using the same proxy to...abuse this site or whatever it is they are doing, why not run a check on the IP? For example fi you run a check on my IP, it probably shows up as 202.65.245.3, and a quick check on any IP address tracing site shows :

QUOTE

inetnum: 202.65.240.0 - 202.65.247.255
netname: MobileOne-SG
descr: MobileOne Ltd
descr: Internet Service Provider

Then you should be contacting the ISP involved to handle whatever abuse issues you have.

If the problem is the anti-flood system kicking in for ENTIRE COUNTRIES...which seems highly suspicious(all the ISP proxies, in an entire country, being used to abuse this site?)....im going to take a guess here that either the system is blacklisting proxies(in some cases, people have reported NOT using any proxies AT ALL, although they may not know that their ISP uses a proxy) by mistake, or theres some sort of massive international conspiracy to bring down e-hentai....

You know, you could just rollback whatever changes you have done to cause the problem, and troubleshoot further in the meantime...and report any abuses to ISPs as well.

Right now this "fix" is banning entire countries. Its all good and all that you are located in country X and are unaffected, but that hardly applies to the rest of the world.

Incidentally why is it that sites like [www.ioerror.us] http://www.ioerror.us/ip/ are able to report both my proxy server address AND my REAL IP address behind the proxy, while e-hentai apparently cant...?

heres my hijack file to help in the diagnoses of the problem if there is one, altho a quick question and it seems kinda silly to ask this but could opening or have opening of multiple searches in the galleries cause the anti-proxy program to think my IP a threat?

Dlaglacz, i think it would help if you could update the first post in the thread with all the info current on this problem and ask people to post their hijackthis logs if you really do want them(im not sure if you have sufficient privelges though).

I don't have moderator rights on this subforum, only Tenboro has, I think. And just because there are no new posts from him doesn't mean he isn't investigating this...

Dlaglacz[u]

Its not that we cannot read what is on top of the page, you do know it did say "If you're having a problem most people don't seem to be having"

That is not the problem now. Cause many of us are having such problem without doing anything

From what have been talked even with tenboro, it was not ask of us to post it.

And yes even if you know my point here, i Still do understand why do you still ask for it, to look for possible cause. The thing is that maybe even tenboro may be silently admit that its the admin and management side of the problem and not the user side.

====

Anyway to be fair, E-hentai does not owe us anything, even in the unfortunate event that this problem wont be fix, there is no obligation for Tenboro or who ever to give us an explain or what, mah.... can only say well things happen and its just too bad. We can only move on.

Even so I seriously hope there are things being done, I will very much appreciate it,I like the site.

It's more likely to be some condition on the network between some number of users and the site, as the site works very well for thousands if not millions of people. It may be possible to work around this condition from the site's side, and it may be from your side. Just don't assume it's the problem with the site itself.

Since some people here posted that they're not using proxies and have their IP all to themselves, the triggering of site's defense mechanisms may be only part of the problem.

Of course, I'm just hypothesizing here.

never thought my first post has to be here. Anyway, I'm from Singapore too, facing the same problem. I had gotten my other friends in my country to try to access the gallery, but to the same result. So it seem Singapore's 2 Major (perhaps the only 2 residential) ISPs' users are facing the same problem. I will be getting some online friends from neighboring countries to try it out too.

My guess is that there is some security feature performing a regional IP block, like how some video streaming site block certain regions from viewing videos that are licensed in their country (ie crunchyroll). I am able to get the gallery and the sub galleries thumbnail to show up correctly if i am using a public proxy that resides in the US ,though trying to load an image in original size would give the 509 limit.

Anyway, will be patiently waiting for a solution and while i'm posting, I LOVE THIS GALLERY
