QUOTE(Isis86 @ Apr 15 2012, 11:13) Well I guess I can cross off "Knowing someone who was murdered." and "Know a murderer" off my bucket list. Don't really know why that was on there.
Self-realization is the first step to betterment?...Or something like that.... Anyway, I woke up this midday and, out of the blue This song popped up in my head. Goddammit.

I know both. But that's only because it happens all the time around here. Chicago/Detroit. Same shit, different continent.
Also, Kunoichi Isis. I don't know why, but a mental image of Applejack holding a kunai in her mouth just popped in my head.

*sigh* I would probably know more if I still lived in California but here in good old midwest little town there aren't a whole lot of murders...or if there are we don't know about it...the cops here are retarded.

Cops usually wait until there are dead people to take action. I guess it's the same everywhere.

Several thoughts could contend for my 'last' thought.
Noobs and how much I dislike them.
Have to take out the garbage and do the dishes today either before or after food shopping.
Organizing and Scheduling my life so it's not such a huge clusterfuck a vicious cycle of perfectionism and ruination.
How awesome The Birthday Massacre is and listening to their song 'In The Dark.'

I think I have donated enough blood for a lifetime during those five weeks. Don't think it's usable, though.

Oh that's not what I meant. I just meant like they know where drug dealers and addicts live but they don't do jack about it. I mean we've got at least 3 types of drug dealers living on our general block. Cocaine, weed, and I forget the other one. But I know cause I got friends and relatives that have bought from them...On the up side there isn't a lot of crime. I guess drug dealers aren't keen about people starting trouble where they deal.

Dealing drugs is a business, like any other. If people being fucktards and starting shit where you do business affects your bottom line, then you do something about keeping them in line so they don't. As for the cops, eh, the justice system is totally broken. There's no real way to stop petty crime. You can put murderers and shit away, but thieves and dealers will always get back out and go back to their ways. Not to mention prison is basically a training camp to make them better at what they do.

Normally around this point, I'd brag that Canada is better, but now we're building a bunch more prisons... Clearly, our wonderful government doesn't learn from example.
