Additionally, this would be super simple to tweak with a user style, if only you didn't still hardcode thumbnail dimensions in pixels within the img tags. If they were in CSS (standard practice nowadays), or if we had percentages, I'd be good to go.

I would like to report a serious problem I face right now - searching, ANY searching with thumbnail view crash the browser (Opera).

When new changes came up, I had to switch to compact view since thumbnail view would show only single column. Now its properly showing all but when I try to start searching for anything, browser stops responding and eats up whole single core of CPU. Now, if I switch to compact, start searching and THEN switch to thumbnail view, it behaves normally.

Please look up for that.

This is EH, not 4ch. We don't care about 4ch unless they contribute in some way (like you do).

If I set a tag in tagset1,
then I set it in tagset2.
It will be removed from tagset1 and added to tagset2.

Does this be expected?

Yes, a tag can't be in multiple sets at the same time so it'll be moved to the new set. That would be redundant and use up your precious taglist slots.

Nope, it's not that. Fav for good ones may be ok but read 30 doujin per days, then fav them all (and for what reason ?)
There's like one or two works I like for every 100 I read. That's how favorites work.
Auto "downloaded" and manual "readed" checkbox would be nice, really.

Seconded that. Especially when you do something in hurry and simply taking a peek on what's new. Not really saying "bring back 'new' icon" but make it more noticeable.

Also, thanks for bringing back tags. I missed at least half of them (mostly blacklisted).

And I'll be unique: I like new categories icons more than older ones.

Still, compact version is not compact at all. Due to tags display it's too much information at once.

I don't really need to see tags I don't care for. Enough for me it if there will be list of tags I mind like, {english}, {f:dark skin}, {f:femdom}, etc. I don't need to know the rest. And I don't really need to see how much pages gallery has. I click for it if I'll be curious.

And what I said before - Popular now that was before below first page was also better in my opinion and I stay by this.

And, If we going with that "popular" page (that I don't like) - let's separate them. I mean - for Front Page - I use all the time - let's stay for ex. Comapct size. But when I change page to Popular and set for thumbnails it could stay like this and don't affect Front Page settings (that are set to compact).

And again: Why some galleries disappear from EH ? I mean I understand stuff like lolicon/shotacon are moved to e-hentai - but why some cosplay too ? Like Katsuya Moonfox and few others ? Last time no one answer.

Pushed an update with some additions and layout tweaks for the most common complaints.

- Added a thumbnail scaling option under My Settings. This can be used to scale thumbnails on the Thumbnail and Extended gallery views between 75% and 150%.

- Toned down some of the category button colors on dark backgrounds. (thanks to hzqr)

- Gallery info now lines up per row in thumbnail mode.

- Minor CSS layout tweaks.

If you find any scales that break the layout, let me know.

What about adding an option to just show your favorites with notes in the favorites section, got tons of forgotten works that at some point had a note but just forgot the name of said notes.

Is it possible to add more favorite categories? For now you only get 10.


Regarding the new scaling options, 85% seems about perfect. I use a 4:3 1600x1200 CRT, I could understand the pain on 1080p users with less height real state.

I got an idea, what if we could have the option to show either the time of upload or the diamond favorite icon. For many the time of upload on main page can be kind of useless info.

It's not grayed out, it's default placeholder text. And the other thing you posted has to be some user style.

To give my opinion, I dont like the changes, yes Im in the dont fix what isnt broken group.
To be more specific:

-Thumbnails are too big
-Favorites icon was easier to see than new thin outline on date
-Im not convinced with the categories designs

3. that the space at the bottom of each gallery rectangle in thumbnail view be minimized ... again, this might just be me but it looks like there's a lot of wasted space after the date, page number and DL icon.

There was actually a placeholder box there for flagged tags that wasn't supposed to be there unless there were, you know, flagged tags. That should be gone now.

5. and finally, maybe lose some of the 1px borders that are on the page The grey and dark borders around the search and category box and the lines at the top and bottom of the actual thumbnail view, as well as the different shades of grey that separate the thumbnail boxes don't seem to be needed IMHO.

During development I did experiment with a variety of borders and background variations for this, and this was the one that worked best for my eyes at least. Of course, if someone does a mockup that I feel looks better, I might still adopt that one.
