It'll take getting used to, but I can work with the compact view + My tags the way they are now.

You can link to Imgur and other image hosts.

It said I couldn't include a URL at all, but maybe it'll let me now that I've made that post.

I'm not sure if this is related to the update or not, but yesterday things were working one way, and now they're working another way, so I figured I'd bring it up here.

I've always respected that futanari and shemale were considered separate categories under the e-hentai tagging system—personally I like both, but it makes searching for whichever I'm particularly in the mood for much easier. And yet now it seems that searching for either brings up any gallery tagged with "dickgirl." And since, under the system of pairing tagging where "dickgirl" denotes both futanari and shemale, "dickgirl" seems to be applied to virtually every futanari AND shemale gallery, the situation currently seems to be that searching for either separately now brings up nearly all results for both, which seems to completely defeat the purpose of having separate tags in the first place.

I like the new tag flagging since it shows all the tags you like without having to hover over an icon. There needs be a way to scale down the thumbnails, because this design feels like it takes up a lot more space than the old version.

Still waiting for the day i can filter to only english results without having to manually put english in the search bar.

but it is how they worked in practice

No it most certainly did not. People upvote whatever is most visible, especially in the earliest images. This was the case back then just as much as today.

Part of the reason the mod power numbers were hidden was precisely to end this kind of misunderstanding.

If your browser is recent enough you can achieve that with CSS

CODE
.gl1t { display: flex; flex-direction: column; }
.gl5t { margin-bottom: 0; }

I'm a huge fan of the changes. I think the thumbnail size (in extended view at least) is the right size. Tag flagging is epic.

The category buttons are imo an upgrade, but I think for most users they just aren't relevant and should be much less visible. Do they really need to be clickable at all? Especially if every single one of the same type is going to lead to the same page? I think a much smaller icon would suffice, even just initials with a hover text to clarify. I don't think they warrant the space they currently are getting. It's nice to have them be CSS now though.

Like others have mentioned, I've also fairly frequently encountered the issue with tags not showing for some works, but then being there on refresh a few minutes later.

People need to chill out. Don't be this guy [xkcd.com] https://xkcd.com/1172/

Can't imagine the work this took. Super grateful.

Like download checkbox (which check itself when you download gallery - either by downloader or torrent for first time). And second chechbox for Doujinshi/Manga categories to mark that I already done reading that. Both would help stop wasting GP for downloading already downloaded galleries.

I just use a favorites category for the former, so that's an option.

While some better adjustments have been made, Thumbnail mode pictures are just still too big for showing thumbnail previews. Before, you could have three rows of gallery thumbnails fit a desktop screen. Great for quick scan on some galleries with low amount of scrolling to get bottom and continue to next page of whatever you are searching for. No need for additional steps like reducing zoom that just adds different visual annoyances. Example 1: [my.mixtape.moe] https://my.mixtape.moe/qlwoxx.png

As of now, at 100% default zoom, two rows of gallery thumbnails is the most that can be fully seen before scrolling, which is just a straight downgrade from the previous thumbnail mode. Bigger absolutely does not always mean better, despite what the drawn rape victims keep saying.Example 2: [my.mixtape.moe] https://my.mixtape.moe/gwnenc.png
Additionally, I think having the category/rating/pages/favorite category at the bottom of each thumbnail space, was way more uniform, instead of having to look up and down if one gallery's thumbnail picture had more space under the picture, than the gallery next to it.

I've actually noticed that happening more and more recently, but even then it's usually limited to image sets. In doujinshis and mangas, tags are usually still sorted the old way, though it has become less and less strongly pronounced as time went by, probably precisely because the numbers are no longer visible.

But back when the numbers were still visible, at least 95% of galleries were tagged as I described. I mean, I was able to use that system, with an accuracy that I always found amazing, for years. If a gallery looked something like this:

loli (189), furry (92), pregnant (83), bondage (52), collar (34), impregnation (27), rape (14), ahegao (7)

you could tell immediately that this was a gallery with a pregnant-furry-loli theme (loli is way higher because it is a warning tag), with some BDSM stuff, and maybe a few non-consensual or ambiguous-consent elements.

Now, everything but the loli and ahegao will be in the mysterious "dashed" category, and if you have stuff sorted alphabetically (you know, the default), the "bondage" and "collar" will be the most notable of those, even though they aren't all that important. Even when sorted by power, it's not clear where the cut-off is - is bondage still very common? Or is maybe everything after furry actually quite low? Guess I'll have to check the actual gallery, cause I can't tell from the tags.

Well, back then the system did work out that way, whether that was the plan or not. Honestly, this sounds a lot like "People were using this in creative, useful ways that were not intended! Let's put a stop to that!".

The boldening of new galleries' date is far too subtle, which is why so many people are wondering where the new icon went.

I think the indicator needs to be clear enough that you don't need to compare fonts to be sure. Either it needs to be much much bolder or have an underline or asterisk or something?

Why are the category buttons so big now? And why are they so bright?! Why is there so much wasted space even when using minimal view? Can we please get an old UI option? Or at the very least the old category buttons?

The two things that bother me, aside from the garish look of the category buttons, is that 1) they're buttons, which means I can't open a category in a new tab without opening a gallery and clicking the category button there, and 2) new galleries are no longer marked as new.

At least in "minimal".

Feedback
------------------
Do like
- new tag system (at last i can have as much groups and colors as i need, plus weights)

Do NOT like
- new category icons (too colorful)
- no tag flags in "minimal" config (guess, many people will prefer minimal as it's closest to old one, but no tag flags makes it inferior to compact; compact is also not an option - too bulky, lot of vertical scrolling, e.t.c)

Add flag colors panel (i mean, as it was in old interface with tag flaggin) to minimal, and it'll be perfect.

Don't know if it's an intended behavior, but at least in the compact view the tags are ordered by absolute weight value, so I see +99 -10 +1 0 ...

- Bitcoin Cash (BCH) wallet addresses will soon default to using the cashaddr format. If you have an old wallet that does not support it yet, you can use [cashaddr.bitcoincash.org] this tool to convert the new wallet address to the old format.

Are we still on the "new address given after use" system?

Is the above like a unique thing that will probably never matter to star sellers?

I ask because there doesn't seem to be a bargraph involved.
(The routine of putting an address string into my phone as the BTC/BCH count downs from 70 seconds is a complete pain. "Would you like to add time? the machine asks"..... No machine, I'd much rather add a sledgehammer to your screen.)

Oopsie. Looks like I spoke too soon Tenb. Another unexpected Compact Derp:
https://e-hentai.org/g/1382223/aea7bd58e8/

Literally doesn't show any tag here. Same issue for stuff like:
https://e-hentai.org/g/1373635/053124d4d9/
https://e-hentai.org/g/1355148/9398ffddde/
https://e-hentai.org/g/1382223/aea7bd58e8/

I'd understand if there were many tags again but this is not the case for all of 'em... and... (see below)

PRE-EMPTIVE EDIT: Actually, it looks like a memory/caching issue of sorts, galleries alternate between displaying tags/not displaying tags. Try this query.

(Works with other queries, just tried to get one that returned enough of those odd "alternating" cases.)

EDIT: Bit pointless to link to the galleries since it requires displaying them as search results but thought they were particular or something, just go straight to the query.
