thumbnails are still showing as a single column on psvita though the images seem to be smaller so its not as bad now, but i still would like there to be a option for the old version that had rows and columns. also i can't find favourites and all that other stuff that used to be at the top.

Fuck everyone's bitching. New features = good. The new tag system is great.

The site arguably works on a phone, even. Would be nice if the text was larger at small breakpoints; it's still hard to read and tap on stuff. Better than it used to be, though.

We were discussing about doing away with the content warning screen completely as you can already do that by changing modes or using your taglist(s) in a clever way - only one taglist is required so no need for a donation.

It's pretty subjective since it depends on what tags you'd consider as "offensive".
If you want the old behavior, just set snuff, guro, etc. to Hidden or give them a nasty negative weight.
Or don't touch the weight or visibility, pick an ugly color for them and change modes. Many creative ways to hide them, the latter won't hide the gallery - which would seriously hurt your searches.

The problem is that:
- "hidden" hides everything with those tags, so 1 page of that and the whole gallery gets nuked so I can't see the tags in the details to judge if I want to open it.
- "nasty negative score" does the same, with the risk that I get one of those galleries with A LOT of tags I like together with the nasty tag and the gallery remains completely visible, and even if I see the black marker on the tag, hovering on it will show me what I could not want to see.

Hiding thumbnails avoids you hovering on messed up stuff, because well, you won't see them.
And to check the tags of said gallery while browsing a page with unfiltered results.
And then judge if taking the risk or not, for some tags.

As for the warning screen I think it should stay to warn anyone new/with no knowledge of the filtering tools (they exist) who clicks on the wrong gallery by mistake, so they can getta out of there without getting traumatized (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)

I really think the info under the thumbnail mode ought to be aligned with the bottom of the tile, not in different places depending on varying image size.

It looks hideous. Even worse than the old colors system.

Alternative [pastebin.com] color scheme that uses less trippy more depressing more sober colors (and no gradients):

I guess you're right. Some people get traumatized by bananas, others get traumatized by drawn beheadings.
But yeah, finding a middle ground isn't easy (mentioned the hiding issue). People who tend to take drawn porn seriously end up voting for the wrong party. :duck:

(Feels bad for telling Tenboro about the content warning minor issue, would've been fun to see people yell about being stuck on it forever  )
EDIT: Wouldn't have happened because reasons but would still have been funny.

Adding my voice to the choir about the category icons being terrible. Those bright neon colours don't belong on any sort of modern website.

Has web design started to circle around again? Not sure i'm a fan of the 90's "bright neon buttons with white text" that is like staring into the sun.

Regarding the update, I was definitely more comfortable with the old colors, and I miss the galleries displaying the favorites tags on the search screens. Lets me know if I've come across something or not more easily.

In Thumbnail mode, the info below the thumbnail image - the star rating, the page count and so on - used to be anchored to the bottom of the square, so that all galleries had it on the same vertical level. [files.catbox.moe] Screenshot. However, now it's attached to the bottom of the thumbnail image, and given how some images have different height, it's no longer on the same vertical level, it's all jumpy. [files.catbox.moe] Screenshot. Why not anchor it to the bottom of the square?

Also, previously the Thumbnail mode tried to combine thumbnails with lower height into low-height rows (which also meant that it was showing such galleries out of the upload-time order as a side-effect) but the new Thumbnail mode doesn't try to combine low-height thumbnails anymore, it shows everything sorted by the upload time. Here are [files.catbox.moe] before and [files.catbox.moe] after of the same search query I had cached in my browser. You can see that "after" wastes much more space, especially in the middle and bottom. You can also see how the 2nd from the top and the 4th from the bottom rows in "before" are low-height. Why not keep the previous behavior of grouping low-height thumbnail galleries together?

!JrVCpvv176 keeps telling me to post here.

I would like the new tag filtering system to be improved.
Currently you can only change the color of tags individually or every tag within the tagset (I'm unsure how multiple tagsets interact)
I would like to have the following options:
The tagset color which we currently have
A name space based color (example, I could make all male: tags blue, and female: tags purple)
Also tag specific recolor which we currently have

It would also be nice if there was a way to default certain tags when searching. Currently there is no way to exclude untranslated japanese language works. You can not include them, which is not the same thing.
I would like to be able to open up the front page and either automatically have "english" has a search option, or some other implementation that (without me doing an extra step) excludes all languages except my native language.

TLDR namespace based colors without taking away current features for tag filters & let us default search specific tags such as language

Alright, after some playing around, some more complete feedback:

- The new searching/watching system is a lot better than the old one, though there's still room for improvement (Like being able to see tag power again. Those were the days...).

- While the improvements to the tag flagging system make it worth it (yay for more than just six colors!), it'd be nice to be able to seem them in minimal mode. I understand that there is no room for the full names, but how about a simple circle for each tag, with their respective color?

- It would be nice to be able to enter tag weights higher than 100. Sure, I can squeeze everything into the 100-range, but it becomes super-fiddly, especially with the negative ones, as I need to be really careful there (can't assign them high values, or else they might accidentally hide galleries).

- As others have said, the new category buttons aren't very nice-looking. It works, I suppose, but I do like the old ones better.

Overall, it's definitely a significant improvement, even if there are some kinks left.

I'm curious how many people had WAY over 100,000 favorites before the SG move and couldn't even change categories anymore, heh...

Have yet to see "but I had to delete ALL of those extra favs/give up on the fav system and it was SO PAINFUL!"

Can you please for the love of God do something about the awful colour scheme? It looks especially bad on a dark background. Everything else I can look past, even the ugly blocky font that's too spaced out, but the colours on the icons are irredeemable.

After toying with the score thresholds for filtering and watching, the new gallery system is looking at least a bit better to me than it originally did. It will take some time to get it feeling where it should be though.

With that said, I'd still like for an easy way to tell what's being filtered out for me for now. Until I get the thresholds and tag values set appropriately, it feels like there's too much chance of accidentally hiding something I might like. The old tag perks system was definitely much better in that regard when it came to giving me the choice to still potentially look at something that may have been otherwise penalized for (what was hopefully) a fraction of its content.

Any chance to have a feature that would highlight the whole gallery title block based on tag preferences, instead of highlighting just tags? Like E-Hentai Highlighter script could do it. Would like to see the relevant galleries right away in Minimal view.

Also, not going to remove that [user-select: none] still?
