Im really loving this watched option, maked everything easier.

I think a lot of people's perception with the category buttons could be fixed with a better outline of the white letters, maybe.

Other than that, love the update, the watched tags are a godsend.

I'll also voice support for the New tag coming back, and for the favorites indicator to be more obvious. Just make it brighter, or thinker or something. Hard to see.

It's Windows 8 all over again - the longer I stare at it, the worse it gets, and it's just the user interface alone. Tagging is better, but everything else is much worse.

Two kinds of people that like the new UI:

Few issues i've noticed so far
1. It's not as easy to notice which galleries you have favorited. There used to be the diamonds, now it's a subtle outline around the date. Needs something that stands out more imo.
2. When searching your favorites it doesn't remember which boxes you had ticked (Name, Tags, Note) so you have to recheck them every time. Don't know if theres an option to set a default, don't see one in settings.
3. Not sure if the favorites search is working properly. For example i have this gallery https://e-hentai.org/g/354571/6cf4e7b3f9/ favorited. I search the artist name "Itou Yuuji" with Name and Tags checked, it doesn't show up even though the artist is tagged in the gallery.

Can't search for "all the way through" without the quotes anymore. I use to search for it like this: All_the_way_through, but now it gives me an error saying "Wildcard characters cannot be used in the first three characters of a word." Mildly annoying since I have to search with the quotes and can't use my auto-fill thing at first and adds two extra keystrokes.

I also wish for the old tag-flagging to be back, watched is nice is nice and all and technically work but when you are watching multiple tags and liking to see what has what, it's simply impossible with minimal view anymore. I also would prefer it to be on the front page rather than using watched but I could settle using watched if I can see the flags on minimal view really.
Also like many have said before I would like the "new" to be back in some forms.

Nah, Windows 8 made some good mechanic changes, but was (still is) ugly as shit, obnoxious as shit, and unusable purely because of the UI that is pure shit.

Quantum had no merits whatsoever - it is ugly AND broken.

I was about to make a post about how some galleries seem to be missing some tag flags and then one of them magically fixed itself while I was writing it

Somewhat belated, but I ran a script that imported all of the old flagged tags into tagset 1 with default color and weight, set to watched if not hidden and hidden otherwise. Note that if you already added a tag, it would not have been overwritten.

Also, not sure if it was mentioned, the thumbnail preview when hovering your mouse over a gallery name is annoying now that it's on the left. I guess it's like that to not cover the gallery names now, but now it covers the categories on the left, i.e. Doujinshi, Artist CG, Western, etc. I never really cared when the thumbnail blocked the gallery names. When I search for stuff on multiple categories, normally I would look at the thumbnail preview, look over to the left to see what it's categorized as, especially when I search through both Artist CG/Game CG or Doujinshi/Manga. Now when I want to look over to the category, I have to do a ziz-zag motion going down. Mouse over the gallery name, mouse left of the gallery name to see the category, next line, mouse gallery, mouse left, next, repeat and repeat while before I could just slowly move my mouse down the page. What's more is that now I have to keep my mouse close on the edge of the left of the gallery name specifically so I can do this. Maybe it sounds weird, so let me explain why I do this. For example, to distinguish between parody and original. Say I search for a general tag of "anal" and I search both Doujinshi and Manga. Seeing "Doujinshi" gives it a likely probability of it being a parody and seeing "Manga" gives is a very likely chance of being original.

Edit: Oh right, and it also blocks the date. I don't think it's necessary to explain what's wrong with that.

Tablet masturbator here,
the new Thumbnail layout is awful. It doesn't show enough columns and rows. Even in sideways mode it's only 3. In portrait mode I can only see 9 galleries. In the past it was 12. That change is huge and leads to way more scrolling because the galleries are way too big. Previously I could quickly overlook a page and choose what I wanted. If I wasn't sure about the art I could simply zoom in, decide and then zoom out again. Now I can't do that anymore. Not only that but it also makes clutter much worse. For example, if you search for a popular artist that draws doujins, manga for a magazine, has a pixiv gallery and a lot of translated/uncensored version, too, you'll run into trouble. Before, you could easily spot the different versions and compare them/ignore them. Now it involves a whole lot of scrolling through all the junk you don't wish to see and makes it harder to differentiate between galleries.

The old design was perfect for tablets. I can't say if the new design is better on pc but it's definitely a MAJOR DOWNGRADE FOR TABLETS.
Can you give us an option to revert back or at least a different design option that works better on a mobile screen? Because the new looks make fapping way more complicated than it has to be.

(I don't care about the new buttons but the other design modes where you can see the tags seem like a good addition for pc users, doesn't do much for tablets because the galleries become even huger and you have to scroll even more, but still good).

Are there any plans to make add a legacy option?

I like the new changes, the iconography could be more fleshed out but I think that's a small change.

My real issue is that the new thumbnail style look has too big thumbnails. I'd prefer if they would be available in the previous size again, that one worked very well. Now it all feels cramped on a 1080p display and like you only tested it on 2k or 4k or something.

Honestly the design is pretty ugly, it tries to modernize everything too much. I wish there was an option to choose the older design. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) . The addition of multiple viewing models is not bad, even welcome, but for example the main category tags floating all over the place in the thumbnail view is kinda erratic and difficult to follow with your eyes. Also some userscirpts broke i.e. view tags by hovering in the thumbnail view.
I guess over all its not too bad it will need time to get used to.
