Did a test of the new prod improvements (staff prof + without using staff)

I ran a 7 turn arena, with my newly tuned Monsterbation script (old version, but adding the T2 and T3 fire spells now..)

staff prof went from 1.0 to 135, without hitting a thing.

I probably need to ask, since I'm no longer in a grind to 150 elemental prof hell, how "professional" mages use Imperil. Right now I put my cursor on it, and hit 2,5,8 and so forth. This method is slow. Or not all that uncommon, it can become 222 dangit 22555 mage potion 55..

I use binding function in monsterbation and its quite comfortable:

Bind(KEY_Z, Strongest([TargetMonster(2), Cast('Imperil')]));
Bind(KEY_X, Strongest([TargetMonster(5), Cast('Imperil')]));
Bind(KEY_C, Strongest([TargetMonster(8), Cast('Imperil')]));

upd: In SG arenas this will also help you in combination with^:

hoverShiftAction = Cast('Imperil'),

Not all of them. I was told that this is not really necessary with dark and holy. (S)

all imperil mages, i meant. keybind or not keybind, that's the reasoning.

Just to clarify, binding multiple spells to the same hotkey with Monsterbation isn't allowed, right?

With the recent proficiency overhaul, I figured it might make sense to bind a divine + dark + elemental + deprecating spell to a single hotkey and cast it every round to help keep up with the proficiencies.

But I'm assuming that's a no-no? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

I was already planning on doing that too. Does mana consumption stil influence the prof gain?

Nope. I still gained deprecating proficiency from a single channeled Imperil.

CODE

    startRoundWithHover = false,  // have hoverplay active at the beginning of each round
                                                // or require a kepress to start, in case you want to imperil first
    hoverAutoresume = false,       // reactivate hover after releasing any key

hoverAction = Strongest([Cast('Fimbulvetr'), Cast('Blizzard'), Cast('Freeze')]),
hoverShiftAction = Strongest([ToggleHover, Cast('Imperil')]), // single cast of Imperil

Bind(KEY_Z, ToggleHover);
Bind(KEY_Z, Shift, ToggleHover);

This is how I do my imperiling. By far the safest and still very fast.

What you do is: you hover on monster 2, press shift+Z, move on to 5, press shift+Z, move to 8 and press shift+Z, then press Z.

And note that if you miss one, having a lot of damage helps (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

With my radiant shoes and full forged staff and 5 damage perks I can afford to leave 1 or 2 un-imperiled without slowing down too much.

as for the multiple keybind thing: i don't think.

if needed i can ask, but i guess these days admin will have a bit to do. meanwhile, i really suggest you not to try it. i don't want to read your names in the next list of names to check.

No worries, I didn't try it even once to test it out.

Seeing as I don't play mage, I simply totally forgot about the basic spell cycling feature (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

I have 650 hath right now (and if I really need it, I can dump my ED and other loot for ~1200 more). What Hath Perk(s) is/are recommended to buy for that amount and should I buy anything?

I am 1H/Heavy and have: "Innate Arcana IV" and "Thinking Cap" only.
My monsterLab is not as impressive with only 41 monsters in it, so I don't think anything related to crystals or food or happyPills is good choice here, but anyway, what do you think?

Thanks =)

If you think about increase the number of monsters tokenizer I would be a good choice.
If you want to use ED either now or in the near future i would suggest Long Gone Before Daylight.
Or Dæmon Duality I for the damage increase.

vigorous vitality.

then, personally i'd suggest enigma energizer - quite cheap and gives a nice boost, even if random. but VV first for sure.

Vigorous Vitality, immediatly. This for sure.

Resplendent Regeneration maybe?

Effluent Ether and Suffusive Spirit are not a must if you use only 1H, but if you want to use DW\Mage now or in future EE will help.

Yeah i second VV, completly forgot about it. But i am not so sure about enigma energizer. I guess for just 200 it is worth a try, but i dont have it and i dont see me get it soon.

I don't know, I am one of those guy who prefer WAIT for day or two to keep my stamina recharge instead boosting myself with ED. After all this is just a game on porn site and we should give it a break for day or two...

Yes, I thought about that one too.

This was second what I thought about. Does is affect both regen and draugths? Or only regen? Who knows?

enigma energizer

It was totally unexpected. I thought it is kinda lame. I am wrong here, am I?

Dæmon Duality I

That price is killing me =( Is that 10% bonus have such real difference to make me boost 2000 hath in it?

Thanks, everyone! =)

I know that when I was beginning, one person I really trusted said the only two essential perks were IA1 and VV. The others were only nice to have.

So another hand up for vigorous vitality.

Only regen, so it's pretty much useless for melee and only slightly useful for mages.
Still, not high in the priority list in both cases.
