QUOTE(sickentide @ Aug 17 2017, 07:26) there's nothing wrong with, say, binding a spell rotation of three T3 spells and sleep (that will default to arcane blow when all spells are on cooldown)
Thanks. I suppose T2 spells are better thanks to their lower mana cost, considering the fact that proficiency gain no longer depends on the spell cost (a T3 spell and a channeled T1 spell give same amount of prof).

yes, as long as you don't have the abilities that reduce their cooldowns slotted, so all of them have a chance to be selected by the Strongest function

QUOTE(Kadokura @ Aug 16 2017, 23:01) So, with the new implementation in the proficiency system, What is the best way to gain staff prof now? because the old way: -Pick a Crude quality gear, -Enter IW -And hit like crazy with your staff it's less optimal than before. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) QUOTE(Sapo84 @ Aug 16 2017, 23:02) There is no best way, staff prof is dead.
Grinding staff prof to above your level is very difficult. I tried PFfest with 1 hit in every round, and died at round 850. It makes you very vulnerable!

QUOTE(yami_zetsu @ Aug 17 2017, 02:56)
ladies and gentlemen, words from a mod
Eh? Please, don't see hidden meanings where they aren't (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) QUOTE(friggo @ Aug 17 2017, 06:19) Just to clarify, binding multiple spells to the same hotkey with Monsterbation isn't allowed, right? With the recent proficiency overhaul, I figured it might make sense to bind a divine + dark + elemental + deprecating spell to a single hotkey and cast it every round to help keep up with the proficiencies. But I'm assuming that's a no-no? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) I guess that sickentide's answer (ie: a spell chain with a foreign spell, or stop hovering to manually cast a spell) is already a good one. Btw, i may change my quickbar a bit... QUOTE(DJNoni @ Aug 17 2017, 07:55) Grinding staff prof to above your level is very difficult. I tried PFfest with 1 hit in every round, and died at round 850. Whack only when you're in a safe position.

0.1 when I feel like trolling, 0.09 when I feel like not doing it (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Anyone know the estimated odds of getting a magnificent, legendary, or peerless item from a Boss, Legendary, and God class trophy turn-in?
Are the odds better with the God Class trophies like the Tier 4 Sapling Trophy (Minimum Quality: Superior) and Tier 6 Noodly Appendage Trophy (Minimum Quality: Exquisite)?

1. no. once peerless was fixed (something like 0.0000000002%), don't know if it's still the case. 2. yes. if nothing else, because as you raise tophy tier the lowest equip quality tier is excluded

The vulnerable part is not that bad, the crap part is the time you lost doing it and the fact that you have to do it always to have staff prof keep up. What's the point of nerfing my times just to get a 0.0125% damage bonus every level (in my case, destruction staves / radiant phase users will get even lower). Like I said staff prof is dead.

Very wise words. I guess I'll leave my staff prof as it is now, maybe only grind it on the 3 sg arena's where one blow doesn't slow me down that much and exp gain is highest anyway. Yeah, that's probably the way to go.

of course. admin himself in some istances (like when he made trigger dawns twice in a day because of server resets or something similar) said "good for those who benefitted". why shouldn't i say now "is grinding prof easier? do it while you can". i can also add that you should prioritize the lower ones. QUOTE(yami_zetsu @ Aug 17 2017, 13:31) seems weird if you consider yourself a mod (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) the weird part is that someone may think that i'm not an user anymore (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)
