Personally I think it's worth, if you can't find better rapier than that. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
I have soulfused Exquisite equipment, I still used it sometimes.

That could have seriously fetched more than 100kC. The one who bazaared it got careless.
You can be sure to use it till at least lvl280-300.
DO NOT soulfuse it! You won't be able to sell it back after! You should rather upgrade it, then pray to find something similar/better around your level as soon as you can, as you're overlevelling your weapon quite a lot.

Since it comes from bazaar, he cannot resell it even now. Check that big red untradeable thing on the top right.

Ok then I don't appear to be gaining proficiency as I have done a Re and first 5 arenas and it's still at .27. I did start assimilator training before doing the arenas though(if that inteferes somehow) and had only checked proficiency after the RE.

update: not a bonus but a glitch. you won't get proficiency until you gained more than you got for free. Bummer.

btw, does this mean that all prof gains are tracked natively? i only saw staff one...

It the cap is really level X 1.2 nearly.
The balance of the game is shifting even more towards mages.
Now high-level imperil mages will probably always one-shot with a T3 and holy/dark non-imperil will get a pretty big damage boost (15.3% damage boost from T3 + 5 base prof + damage from staff prof, cast speed from cloth prof etc etc).

No. The max prof factor from naked prof is .32, the target is .68
The optimal prof gear slot just changed.
If I did my math right L-min shoes + L-min Willow staff forged to 5 will get you .68

Yes. I used a similar rapier into the later 300s. Be sure to get it IW10'd. If you can't do it, get a friend to.

Cold and fire mages are basically out of meta forever since only willow makes sense.
But elec and wind are not in a good spot either.
Dark willow + cap can already exceed 0.8 prof factor when fully forged.
So for endgame dark imperil > elec/wind imperil.

Without Imperil holy can super-easily reach 1.0 prof with shoes + gloves and, on friday and sunday with robe only, making it even stronger (Doracra was getting very good PFUDORFest result with 0.85, with 0.86 I guess Holy will be easily the strongest style even there).

My current 1H equipment able to survive IWTBH IW. Still not sure for arena with 70+ round.

In practice, it's not that bad: it takes forever to get to +20% proficiency. You can't choose the prof slot based on final proficiency. You will be playing for years with sub-optimal build.

And Redwood Cool/Fire mage has also been buffed, make no mistake. Still seriously good builds.
