Guys, does Void damage type from either Ethereal prefix or Hollowforge potency render Penetrated armor debuff by rapier/estoc irrelevant? I mean all the monster I've seen so far have no Void damage mitigation.. :-/

No. Void bypasses crushing/piercing/slashing mitigation, but even void damage is still reduced by the regular physical mitigation on monsters. So Penetrated Armor works just fine with void.

If Void damage wasn't amplified by PA or Imperil, no one would IW10 or buy an Ethereal. What had to be said.

Hello experts. As my level goes up, I find that I seems to consume more and more mana... I am using a auto-attack script but I am constantly defeated due to the lack of mana. I got plenty of mana draught but the consumption is just way too fast.. Should I stock some mana potion? But it's also much more expensive than the draught.. Any suggestions? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Thanks in advance. This post has been edited by GTX1080Ti: Aug 14 2017, 17:26

It looks like your armor needs to be repaired (the red exclamation points next to "Stamina" in your screen shot), so you may be needing to heal too often. You could try fleeing when your mana gets low to avoid being defeated.

No wonder you use so much mana if you have that bad of a weaponry to fight monsters in Nintendo difficulty. Here are the things I'd suggest you, in order of priority: 1) Get Innate Arcana perks. Use your first innate arcana for your spark of life. 2) Get a weapon. What you're using is trash, even for someone of your level. 3) Lower the difficulty setting. Nintendo is too high for you, for the moment. 4) You may want to use plate armor instead of leather, for a higher protection. It may raise your mana consumption a bit though. 5) Use Featherweight Shards to lower your burden+interference. It'll reduce your mana consumption and increase your evade+critical chance+attack speed. You will really feel light with these, trust me.

Mostly I set the script to cure when the hp is about 60%. And I keep the spark of life buff. It looks like I just healed too often. Well what needs to be repaired is actually my legging...And thanks for the potion (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) QUOTE(decondelite @ Aug 14 2017, 23:59) No wonder you use so much mana if you have that bad of a weaponry to fight monsters in Nintendo difficulty. Thanks for the advice. But could you tell me where can I find some good equipment? Cuz I dont know whether I should buy it from the shop or from the players. And could you give me some more details of the good equipment?

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Just spark of life and cure? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Regen? Protection? (also make sure you have unlocked and slotted all the useful abilities) Even health draughts can be used if you feel like you're curing too often. Also 60% is way too high, I would suggest staying at around 40% or even lower (it's a balance between mana and spirit, if you are seldom sparked decrease the value, if you spark too often increase it). Shrining them will get you a random equipment. Or you can sell the smoothies to certain players on the forums (check the WTB threads). It will probably be more beneficial unless you want to gamble. The script can't do that. Auto-casting spells is not allowed and will get your account banned.

You should cure only when you're in a really bad spot, like when you're around 30% HP or so. If you have a spirit shield and a spark of life on, no worries you won't die anyway. Curing should help you in avoiding spark to trigger too often, which consumes your spirit noticeably. You have new (upgradable) supportive spells now, use them. As for where to find good equipment... there's a lot of equipment shops in the WTS part of the forums. For your part, there's noticeably: There are also a few shops that have level unassigned gear, but I will be honest: the probability of getting trash sold to you is high, due to these equipmens having very random stats. If you want to see some, there are: You might also be interested in this weird philanthropic guy's free credits giveaway. Bookmarking my own post for further reference. PS: Scremaz, I laughed when browsing your shop. Exquisite Fiery Axe of Slaughter | Fire StrikeThanks, I thought it was a Cold strike on this one. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Coming back to HV after a long, several year break and I see alot of things I like. Love this new Persona system so I can have multiple fighting styles setup to go at any given moment. But my question is how viable are the following builds for endgame (not endgame the arena challenge, but endgame as in higher play):
A sort of assassination style rogue using "of the shadowdancer" shade leather and daggers for high parry? (still holding onto some Fine daggers from the good ol' days)
An extremely tanky build with "shielding" plate that I've held onto, and focusing mostly on counterattacking with high block & mitig?
Or are none of these sorts of builds viable anymore and melee leather/plate focus mostly on 2H offensive sweep builds nowadays? I honestly have no idea, I've gotten this far almost purely as a wind sorceress.
Thanks in advance~
