You're kinda contradicting yourself here. If you consider all the artifacts as "stamina supply", then all the credits are already pure profit since the EDs from artifacts offset the stamina anyway.

Besides, the real value of grindfests is in the crystals. Doing a PFUDORfest with maxed Crystarium gets you 6+ packs worth of crystals, so you'll easily make a profit. Plus, it's a good way to farm tokens, especially with Tokenizer.

Even at level 158, you should have at least 3 times more physical damage than you have now.
I would take the time to let these experts see your gear and ability page.

your burden is enormous! I believe 2h is only viable with Leather/Shade armors, not with heavy armors.

If you want to play with heavy armor, find a rapier and shield and play 1h.

Actually no it's not that high, just normal. I myself reach 82 burden with my power set, 91 with my shileding plate set. And I had roughly 110 burden when I started playing Power 2H with Superior gear.

My advice: keep that persona for your mage set, and build your plate armor set on another persona. In that new persona, keep INT and WIS at 50, your AGI at 100, and then STR, DEX and END all roughly equal and the highest possible.
And then, of course, adjust your abilities in that new persona.

Last tip: you can reduce your burden by an enormous amount (and thus retrieve some of your crit chance, evade and attack speed) by using Featherweight Shards. They do wonders and you can purchase some near other players for cheap, really.

WIS at 50

way higher. even if you want to stress melee stats, WIS shouldn't be too lower than the main ones.

100 if you want, and that's what I'd have done personally. The 50 I gave was mostly to emphasize the fact that it comes after agility.

Only to become lv500. Around lv.500 you can buy and use gear without soulfusing. Not that big a benefit. I wouldn't recommend it at your level. It's good to reach 400 fast, but after that leveling up isn't that usefull.

are mentats and above useful/a valid investment?

Are a valid investment if you aim at wasting haths.
Reasons:
1) the effect is tiny, comparable to 25 levels of Adept Learner
2) mentats and above cost a lot, at 500 hath you're sinking 2M, it's like paying nearly 100k for each Adept Learner level
3) each time you level up monsters gain more HPs, if you play 1H you get weaker every time you level up
4) you play very little and most of your exp comes from dawn, and mentats doesn't help there

P.S. I have Thinking Cap and I regret having bought that.
