those that let you reach prof factors:
- 0.67 for elemental imperil
- 0.80 for dark imperil
- ~1.0 for holy non imperil
once you remove the effect of eventual prof perks and staff. basically, pick those values, deduct perk effect, subtract staff contribute, and you'll earn the total prof you have to reach, counting 1~2 slots and forging.

nope. it's more like a combo. for example, for holy non-imperil (which needs a really high prof) it should be something like... uh... pants + gloves or robe + shoes? depending on what you can find.

also, those values are a hint. some percentages difference shouldn't matter.

especially since they say mage is OP. so, as long as you can survive you should be safe.

btw, while you wait you may want to raise your profs, if you didn't yet. for T3 spells you need 150 elemental, 200 dark and 200 holy. plenty of work to do (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

It's always important to remember that pants + gloves or robe + shoes setup it's an assumption based on the fact that you should get very good prof pieces.
I think you need like 70%+ prof rolls to get 1.0.

In the end it always depends on what you can get, I would suggest to get the staff first and then do the math to see what works best.
For example with an average rolled redwood it may be better to directly go for gloves instead of trying to get nearly peerless shoes, having a bit more prof is better than having less than what is needed.

already unlocked T3 elemental spells from casting wind magic when low on mp during dark play, but i do have to train plenty of ability boost

The only way to add prof is having of heaven-sent suffix, and there is no heaven-sent Oak (only katalox).

So for holy mage, my P Arctic Oak of Hiemdall is within about 30% of max (vs hallowed), and thats only from the extra 30% damage the matching prefix gives. And it likely would not be an upgrade to find a LHOH?

30% more damage? Dude, I've spent millions for gaining just 5%! If the difference is close to 30%, find yourself a LHOH! ...although, I suspect that there are several very rich hath-baron-interns that are looking for a LHOH at this moment. In that case, PAOH isn't that bad.

uh, alright. well, i suggest you to switch to full leather armors to take advantage of those abilities. you cannot use them if you have mixed types of armors, you know.

then, as for earning credits quickly, uh... quite hard at your level. hope in a very lucky drop (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)
