Hi guys,
It seems like Holy mage is the most popular among mage styles so my question is what makes holy style so popular? I am currently an elemental mage, should I change to holy mage (or maybe dark mage)?

2) No, at least with elemental mage you may be able to handle PFUDOR with nice clear time after lvl 310, with holy/dark it wouldn't probably be viable until later.

Haven't visited this thread in some time. Is a rapier of slaughter, power armor of slaughter and a force shield still what you should wear if you want to cruise trough fights as heavy melee?

else I can save for Crys 5, or if anyone else has ideas I'm open to hearing them. I am going for speed clearing of arenas, and survival on FEST (PFUDOR), current do DwD in about 1hr15 and get to around rnd300 on fest.

I think ima hold off on swapping to holy mage until lvl 500 and i have a full set of gear fairly well upgraded.

BoS are always a fair choice, but sooner or later you will need to get a good power set.
At the moment all your power heavy are worth <500k/piece.

Head: Savage Warding with very low adb (not soulbound) (no IW)
Armor: elemental prefixed protection with good adb (trash IW)
gauntlets & leggings: mag slaughter (trash IW for gauntlets)
boots: mag slaughter with 2 PAB (not soulbound) (trash unfinished IW)

At least try to sell the two not-soulbound pieces and replace them with something non-crap.

Crystarium IV or V for melee is useless and a super-mega-ultra-hyper-bad investment unless your play 2h+/day.
And stop upgrading PABs on weapon and shield, you spent millions of credits forging stats after lvl 25 with next to no visible gain.

I'm here again asking for some advice.

I spent basically all my GPs trying to get the Grand Prize for July 04th but I got nothing ( (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) ). What should I do to improve my char? Atm I have difficulties in IW on Hard so I cannot spam them and even the grindfest is not something that I can just face without thinking on what to do each turn.

Probably is just an equip problem... I guess?

you guess right. in your shoes i'd consider to replace shield, gauntlets and boots. and finish to IW that rapier whenever possible. swift isn't the best potency around, but you're interested in hollowforging it, so...

And, what about the difficulty? Should I face IW on normal?

EDIT: The hugest problems, by the way, is that I cannot find anything better than what you see. I searched for something in the shops but almost everything is way too high for me, even for soulfuse. Am I doing something wrong?

no, that's what the market offers. your level is a bit of a sore point. keep an eye here and there and sooner or later something will appear. btw, a 0.82 shield and some power of whatever may already be an upgrade if compared to your current condition.

Yes, all abilities are fully slotted. I even have some points left that I do not use.

Already silence and imperal already at the level cap. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
I even set something in "mind control" just to have a longer sleep for some fights.

I should set something on "weaken" I guess.

I'd say that the exquisite still has the upper hand (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)

Ethereal Nimble? Decent choice for temporary rapier, IF LEGENDARY.
Legendary Vampire? Not even ethereal. Nope.
Mag Fiery Nimble? If the Ethereal is a no, figure out what this is.

I've been hunting around the auctions, good pieces always seem to go for 15m+ (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I tend to run through 20-40 stamina a day when I get a chance to play

I'm still trying to get forge lvl 50 (@32), and PABs are cheap to forge

yes, but you may trade one of them for 2~3 raccoons/oxes. which still add to your spirit total, but meanwhile do something useful too. just saying.
