QUOTE(Nanoha_Prayer @ Jun 20 2017, 12:57) heh,I still don't know why we need exact 0.68prof after all.
Curious about this as well. Like, why not 0.67 or 0.69? It's a really specific number, so I guess it's got something to do with some formula?

it's the exact amount needed to bring the toughest mob at 0 mitigation with elemental imperil mage setup, iirc. lower than that may leave mobs with some mitigation left, higher than that is overkill. ofc you don't have to be paranoid about ±.01 difference, but that's the reason. note that the same thing becomes 0.8 for holy/dark imperil play (due to holy/dark imperil being weaker) and to a full 1 for holy/dark non-imperil play.

QUOTE(Nanoha_Prayer @ Jun 20 2017, 04:39) Prof is nearly peerless on that drop. Nice!! Equip it, scroll to the bottom of your statistics and see how close you are. You will probably have to upgrade it, but great prof on that piece.

Two questions that I should just experiment with and find out:
1: If reloader is set with a spell, does it need to be slotted on the settings page?
2: If building dep prof, which one should I use with Holy for best results? (With exception of Imperil) (Currently using Drain)
3: The WIKI shows an example of "resetting all" abilities 10 times, is that 10 times a hard stop?
4: What is Ether Theft? Health, Mana, or Spirit?
5: How many questions are two?

well, if you play as holy mage and are using drain, at this point slot the soul fire and ether theft abilities. also, uh... slot whichever other spell you want, i guess... maybe a not-so-expensive one

Thanks Scremaz! What do you mean a not-so-expensive one? As in mana drain? Cause I just tried to run Weaken, drain, and confuse to speed up building the prof. And yeah... Ha! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Mana drained like water in a swimming pool crushed in a sink hole. Comical to watch though. The monsters would stutter going through the deprecating spells, then Paradise Lost would hit the second time. POW! Everything gone. Rinse repeat. Ha! Funny as hell watching it. Who said it's an exact number? It's not. Just check the monsters' mitigation against your chousen element ([ hvlist.niblseed.com] here for wind). Select a mitigation that will leave only a few monsters over that value. For example, for wind resistance there are only around 50 monsters with more than 68 wind mitigation. Then you choose your prof factor to cancel that mitigation. 0.68^1.5*50 + 40 = 68 I think 0.65-0.7 are all valid values, 0.68 is just the recommended sweet spot, but it's not some mandatory value you need to reach. Same is true for holy/dark, 0.8 is just a guess. QUOTE(RoadShoe @ Jun 20 2017, 16:36) Cause I just tried to run Weaken, drain, and confuse to speed up building the prof.
[233,232,211,212,231,221,222,223] (since I cast with spell number I don't have the name, but a quick look at CC should give them out) This is what I used to try to speed up building prof. It works, but it's still slow so I recommend just playing. I needed 9 months to max the prof but whatever, it was fine that way. I suggest putting drain in spell rotation when doing SG arenas though, very small penalty in speed and you can get a bit of mana and raise depr prof at the same time.

do you have a spell which requires 40 MP and another one that requires 20? pick the 20 one. which won't be casted too often either - so disable the ability which reduces its cooldown, if it doesn't hinder the cost

hello, i have questions about upgrade. if i want to forge every state to 5, i'll need 40 catalyst, and the type of catalyst will be same? for example, if i want to forge a leg equip, i need 40 robust catalyst, i won't need another type, right?

he's already doing it. thus i suggested him to slot soul fire ability. but he asked if there's another spell he could slot. better to just stick with one, huh? QUOTE(DJNoni @ Jun 20 2017, 07:21) First prio isn't damage, it's proficiency as long as you haven't reached 0.8 factor (or 1.0 factor if playing without imperil). Then improve your EDB on your pants and match the other phases to the same upgrade-threshold that you got with the last level of forging EDB. And then Evade. After that PABs. And maybe if you have damage coming in even PMI.
ah ok, so Evade is worth forging then? ty for info

Sorry, but this question is like to ask, if block would be worth forging.

ya, but doesn't block have a much higher base stat than evasion since it's all on a single piece as opposed to 5 different ones so you get more of a boost per single upgrade? And by "worth" i meant cost wise. Anyway I'll start forging that as well as I get more credits.

For 1h playing: block is your first priority for upgrade as long as you have any problems what so ever with surviving high difficulties. As soon as you can't die anymore, you can stop forging block. Or, what most players do, continue forging block just to have a Tremendously High And Impressive Stat. What play style uses both block and evade? 1h mage perhaps? Then yes, both. Any other style you either choose block or evade. Don't need both. at all. never. no.
