Elemental prof is for lowering cast time and mana costs of elementat spells. Not sure if it does anything for counter resist, just works agains elemental mitigation if I recall correctly

it affects all spells. on the wiki page https://ehwiki.org/wiki/Spells under the Prof column, you get numbers like 50/500. the first one is the proficiency level where the spell becomes available and the second one is where you get the full 25% cost and cast speed bonus

I'm not the most knowledgable on mages, but from the wiki:

Increase a player's counter-resist and grants a specific element mitigation reduction with spells of that type.

So it seems it's not just for counter-resist, but it also decreases monster magic mitigation.

Okay, so my LARD has massive Elemental proficiency bonus. A willow has Counter Resist bonus. If they basically do the same, why is there a preference for willow over Redwood? I suspect that the difference isn't big.

i guess that the native counter-resist (which will still be added to the counter-resist from profs) is sort of a jolly potency, pretty much like speaking about juggernaut vs. specific mitigation on armors.

Some quick math and the difference in Elem Prof CR in only about 4% between P_RD and P_WD, the L-min CR for Willow is 11.28.

That comparison of elem prof between staves is irrelevant, you will get ~0.68-0.7 prof factor anyway.

if I remember correctly the ponys counting was starts with 30 secs right？

So, it has been years since I have touched HentaiVerse. I honestly do not remember the last time that I got in it.

With that said, after getting H@H up and running, I remembered that I used to play a game on E-H - of course this was HentaiVerse. So, here I am trying to figure out how this game works again. It seems like all of my Stats and Skill points have been reset (seems like I have to also make 2 posts again to edit my signature. weird). According to my stats, I'm currently level 21, with 47,267 credits, 99 stamina, 11,402 attribute points, and 21 ability points, and 3 mastery points. I also have no equipment. I tried reading around and getting an idea of how to play and getting started again, but to be honest, I am a bit overwhelmed. If I could have a tiny bit of guidance, that would be awesome. Thanks ahead of time!
