Since we're on the topic of monsters, two quick questions.
1. I've seen PL1100 quoted several times as the "magic number" to reach. What's so special about 1100 compared to, say, 1000?
These questions got kinda buried but I'd still like to know the answers (IMG:[

I go by the list of scanned monsters.
When 30 days have passed without the monster getting scanned, the line goes pink.
Very few lower level players scan monsters. Usually just the heavy and higher level players.
I scan continuously. I'll scan at least a hundred monsters a day, and that's probably a very low ball number.
I try to scan at least 1 monster on every round I play if they show up yellow. (A different script to show yellow)
If you start the list descending from the PL2250 monsters down, the majority of monsters have been scanned in the last 30 days. This means the monsters are showing up regular enough to be scanned by heavy players that flee.
At about PL1104, you start seeing a few pink lines meaning they aren't seen as often to be scanned.
This is where the >PL1100 comes from. There is very little pink above PL1104.
By the time you get down to PL1040, it's majority pink.
By the PL880's, it's all pink.
Which means higher level players that both scan and flee never see them.
