About the spell cost, maybe it's because you are using different spell tiers.

Another explanation would be difference in proficiencies, but the most you could have is a staff that doesn't give any elec proficiency bonus, but even that shouldn't make such a difference in spell cost.

by mistake i entered smite in place of shockblast in HV setting quickbar slots.and was using smite for shockblast for god knows how many levels

and is it normal that cost of fire,cold, elec ,gale is 12 and smite and corruption are 34(all are 1st tier attacks)

Shadow Veil: Surrounds the target with a veil of shadows, making it harder to hit with attacks and spells.
Base evade chance increase: 15%.
This increase is applied as a multiplier to the player's evade chance, e.g. if the Player had 25% evade, he would get 25% * 1.15 = 28.75% evade.

It says that if I have 0% evade chance, this spell will do nothing. Is it true? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Question on wither or not I should bid on something in the auction this week. There is a shirt up for bid, I currently am using [alt.hentaiverse.org] legend cotton shirt of demon fiend. If I forge forbidden prof to 30 on 1st shirt to match 2nd shirt, I'd lose 6 forbidden prof (prof factor would go from .9685 to .9527) and have to re-IW it, but gain about 4% cast speed.I want to eventually spam play higher diffculties but atm mostly play non-imperil hell arenas for speed efficiency (though ill switch to imperil IWBTH and PFUDOR arenas when i have time). Is it worth it for me to try to bid and win this piece (assuming it doesn't sky rocket in price or anything)?

I would say it is worth, charged is pretty damn good to have.
And you can always forge it to 50 and get better prof (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

in my experience, no. I play have and have shadow veil slotted to IA. I have about 1.5% base evade somehow, but my tracker typically shows a 18 to 22% evade rate during battle

I use reloader and popup skip scripts, so I only have a few tenths of a second to read my combat statistics normally, but I can say with certainty that shadow veil has a significant effect.

I could probably get better numbers turning off my pop-up skipper, but I love that sweet sweet 3.5 turn per second as a 1H heavy, since it's abound 40 turns per round

If you are using the exchange, try raising the amount you are offering per hath.

Currently the difference between highest buyer and lowest seller is only 10 c, if you need the hath now just pay the extra 10c per hath.

shadow veil acts on its own roll. and such a roll stacks multiplicatively with your natural evade - for example, a 1Her with 0 evade could see a boost quite near to the full 25% one, while a DWer with 66% evade at my level sees lees than 10% boost. maybe this could help you to understand:

If you need only a few haths I think it's easier to say here how many do you need and how much you're paying.
Chances are someone will send them via mooglemail.
Faster and cheaper (the sender doesn't lose the 1% fee).

@abc12345678901: get a bid key and proxy bid, it's easier and you won't waste so much time raising the bid every time.
