Ok, did an experiment. I started Grindfest on Hell, an easy setting for me, and as I killed mobs, I cast one Weaken on each. Did 20 rounds and quit, and my deprecating almost doubled, to 1.56. There are ways, though any other suggestions appreciated.

You can just grind it.

Go to a crude equipment item world, leave only one monster alive, and spam deprecating spells on it.

Something like Slow > Weaken > Imperil, then repeat. Use focus staff and frugal set to save mana.

If you don't care about stamina, you can just exit the battle and restart it after refilling your mana.

If you remove your spike shield, you might even grind proficiency on normal difficulty, as you won't be dealing any damage to the monster.

personally i raised it in the time when potions were still limited. everytime i was ending a quest, i used all the leftover potions to cast a deprecating set of spells on the surviving mobs of last round.
plus, items weren't level assigned yet, so phase of the owl were very useful (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

as for you, slot 0-CD weaken ability and start a quest at hard difficulty. you only care about high MP tank, so even Cotton of Protection may be good enough.
if you don't have a mage build, then shade of arcanist and/or light armors are good as well. staff can even be ethereal, for what you care. if you don't have it, then go with a couple of whatever ethereal weapons (or an ethereal + a waki) for bonus parry.

you only need a tiny boost in prof and are high-level enough, so no need for an optimal build. just go with whatever can boost your defense and your MP Tank.

not strictly needed, but while you're at it you may want to reach 100 to unlock Magnet (should be decent for mages, iirc) and for your spells to have a decent duration. just saying.


[edit]: oh, remove haste. it will hinder your mana regen. all the spells you want, but not haste.

I already requested a shield from FreeShop...
for now I'll try to use shield from my inventory before my request granted then...

I've gotten good use from kite shields at times as well.

maybe at low levels, when block didn't scale too much yet a good kite could work as well. not that they are so easy to find...

- Put a spell with high CD on rotation (Drain works well since it also does damage) during normal play.
- Stop caring.
- Check after one week how much did the prof raise.
- Realize it's not worth the hassle for spells you don't even need

Well,as a glass cannon mage, I spammed Sleep - Slow - Weaken - Drain the whole time, sometimes doing Slow - Weaken and Sleep - Slow - Weaken constantly, against a single enemy.

As they said, Crude item worlds can help, but I went for the first arena location instead. Gives me around 3-4 proficiency until the enemy dies from Drain.

It might not be hard, but it's not as efficient as it should be, having to be casting debuffs and playing on lower difficulties.

Experts always advise to use the most efficient style and play on the highest possible difficulty to level up faster and escape the low level bottleneck.

Let the buyer know you're selling to them then send the item through MoogleMail using the CoD function, which appears after you've attached the item. The CoD function makes it so that the receiver cannot take the attached item from the mail without paying the amount of credits you set, which are automatically put into your wallet once they pay it.

Ah, I see. if I'm going to sell multiple EDs, should I set the total as the CoD? (for example, selling 2 energy drinks for 105,000 each, set CoD as 210,000?)

Yes. The CoD is the total price, not price each or whatever.

A couple questions about IW on mage gear -

• On an LSWD, is Penetrator Lv. 5 and Spellweaver Lv. 4 considered optimal? If it matters, I'll probably be playing PFUDOR arena to start, but would switch to IWBTH GF when the time is right.
• Is Capacitor not worth the trouble to get alongside Juggernaut? I think pots and regens care about base MP.
