I think I have all of these planned out...

- 0th Step: Stay awake until next dawn...

- 1st Step: With 373.3 base magic attack ... Playing girls-marathon arena @normal using the usual gear I use. (i.e. melee gear), spam cumshot (er... Magic Missile) on some girls, log the results & elem prof gain.

- 2nd Step: Get +30 INT, which should make my base magic attack = 410.8, or +10% ... Doing the same as above.

- 3rd Step: Post the results here - Which made up of

1) My biased impression of the test that no one cares, in tl;dr format.
2) Proposing a pseudo-scientific theory explaining what the test result means, just so that I can look smart.
3) List of cherry-picked results of the test to prove my point.
4) Personal comment (read: subtle trolling) and conclusion (probably something along the lines of "This test is pure nonsense, but since I'm a well-intentioned smartass, you should believe me").

Fuck! I entered the End of Days to do a 2nd test on Battletoads by mistake! ... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

And I was wasting a lot of time getting a pretty good data on the first test, now I have to do this all over again. If I still want to do it, that is... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

So with how mob stats scale with level, does there chance to dodge/parry/resist increase, or is everything in relation to mob/player interactions based on player stats?

@ jerim

For avoidance and mitigation, both of them works well. Mitigation (physical) are more reliable than avoidance at providing defense, and the gear are easier to get though it has its own downside as well.

Mace + Heavy doesn't look like a good combination IMO. High burden slow you down, which means lower stun turn for monster. Using full light armor also increase your crit rate, further increase your stun chance. A good kevlar set provide solid defense without slowing you down too much. But considering your circumstance, Heavy might suits you better for now. However I recommend you use a plate shoe to get the Heavy's mitigation bonus.

Well, I re-allocated my AP so that all my tanks AND OC are maxed out along with only the healing and supportive spells I was using. I got rid of some spells I was no longer using. I sacrificed the Exp Tanks because damn, being able to slaughter my enemies feels good. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I love my damage output now.

Okay, now I'm looking at switching up my fighting style a bit. I've been using Niten Ichiryu for the past 150 levels, but of course the whole "no gaining proficiency" thing kinda sucks. Should I focus more on increasing the two proficiencies it depends on or should I try switching to pure two handed for a while? Even with these two ethereal weapons dual wield is slower than Niten Ichiryu, so I know that's not a viable long term option:

If I were to just focus on increasing dual wield proficiency for a while, which of those two should be in my main hand?

What's the best two-handed weapon for raw power? I rather like my Superior Katana of Slaughter but I'm open to trying one of the other weapons in my arsenal. I'm not too concerned about a defensive style weapon; I'm used to bleeding the enemies dry. I have an exquisite estoc, longsword, and mace of slaughter as well as an average scythe of slaughter.

Normally, a rapier would be the weapon to put in your offhand, but since your dagger has higher parry chance, use that. It will gain a 50% boost in parry chance.

As for 2-handed, maces are generally considered the best of them, since their stun proc makes them a powerful offensive and defensive weapon simultaneously. Stun means monsters take more damage from attacks and they can't fight back.

Mace. An Eth Mace of Slaughter, that one would be simply the best option.

Just wondering....why does deleting your monsters cost so many tokens?? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)

Would it not be a better idea to just make a new slot with those tokens? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Also...do you get back the crystals youve spent on your monsters if you delete them? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

This is seriously off-topic... Sorry for that. But I still want to post it here because this is where its all happened.

....

About 3 hours ago I just busted my own (very old) PC that I use for years by trying to reply in this post (answering aeridus question) ... 2 hard disk got head crash and it's totally dead... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) And that's all HDD from the whole PC.

And because of this event. I now have a new, much faster PC sitting in its place instead. After some setup and messing around, here I am again...

Sound far-fetched? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) It is... I don't really understand how it turn this way either. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

Ouch, sorry to hear that! Maybe they were both on their way out and when one hard drive crashed it took out the other one. I hope you had your important stuff backed up. :/

Holy crap! Thanks for the suggestion guys! I just cleared Endgame on Nintendo using only 3 Godly Mana Potions. o_O When I was using Niten Ichiryu I was easily burning through 8 each time. I think on average, I'm dealing slightly more damage per turn and getting a lot less damage back per turn, and the greatly decreased burden and interference makes me even faster.
