What is a Gold Star that people want to purchase for 35Mil?

Is there any use for Bronze Ticket apart from the Shrine? I got a few.

no, not really. you may try to sell them (depending on the amount, even a batch to send to auctions), but there isn't that big of a market for those.

Simple question: what's the best use for the Tier2-3 trophies dropped by bosses/legendary monsters? Just shrine them, or is there any reason to hoard them?

Follow-up: Reading the wiki on Trophies, there's this line:

Tier 1: Quality point for Arena clear drops: Endgame challenge and below on Normal/Hard difficulty.

I have zero clue as to what that means. Can anyone explain?

So basically that page is saying what each "tier" of trophy will give you.

Tier 1-3 lowest expected drop is Average (roughly)
Tier 4-5 lowest expected drop is Superior (roughly)
You can see those along the right.

The line "Tier 1: Quality point for Arena clear drops: Endgame challenge and below on Normal/Hard difficulty." means that completing an Arena challenge: First Blood, Learning Curves, Graduation,.... Killzone, Endgame will give you an Arena Clear Bonus drop that is crappier quality than a ManBearPig trophy.

Or another way to think about it. Everything you fight/trophy you shrine has something called loot bonus. It's a magic number. The bigger it is, the higher chance you'll get a legendary. That table is saying a Tier 2 trophy (manbearpig/dalek/grenade/etc) has a higher loot bonus than doing the Arenas up to endgame on low difficulty.

Once you complete an arena, you get an Arena Clear Bonus, which basically works the same way as shrining a trophy. Higher level arenas and/or higher difficulty affect the trophy tier of your Arena Clear Bonus roll.
The particular line you quoted says clearing a first page arena on Normal or Hard difficulty will earn you a random item equal to shrining a tier 1 tropy, meaning you're looking at mostly Average/Superior gear. Likewise, if you were to clear DwD arena on PFUDOR difficulty, your clear bonus will equal a tier 7 trophy roll, giving you a decent shot at Legendary items.

personally i suggest to sell them if they are in large batches. otherwise - ie: low stocks - uh, your call.

There are two sides to everything. People like neco and blackjac buy them for pretty respectable prices (I used to as well) so it's a nice source of income just selling them as you get them.

I'm not 100% sure but I *think* the tier2 trophies *might* actually be the most cost efficient trophy for FoS for those that care.

I personally hold onto my trophies because they're a decent safety net whenever a patch hits (patches used to hit us more often than lately) but my mentality/income allows me to play the patient waiting game.

Selling them would mean solid income - not huge, but something at least. Shrining them yourself is unlikely to give anything worth mentioning. Even if you happen to get something that doesn't suck because of rarity alone, there is a good chance the type / affixes / rolls are not great, thus making it worthless or near worthless.

If you need money for training / new equipment / whatever, you should probably sell them.

Then again, it is a game and you're supposed to have fun. Shrining them can be fun, and I've done it with my trophies mostly. Or, at least it is fun until you shrine the trophies and get only shit back. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/faint.gif) I've done it few times after stockpiling maybe 100-150 trophies, and didn't get anything worth mentioning. I've decided to just sell them in future, perhaps I actually manage that instead of just shrining them all again. Gambling is addicting, and I definitely like to gamble, be it -EV or not.

Yeah I think that's the 3rd last Arena. It and the two after it will be full of schoolgirls. It's recommended that you do it on Normal/Hard (probably Normal the first time you go through)

personally i'd say Normal the first time, then Hard for farming trophies only. Hard only for the tiny chance of dropping an amnesia. 0.01% >> 0, afterall.

iirc, penetrator and archmage. possibly even the casting speed one.
