Question about void damage.

How exactly does this work? For example, if I have a rapier (physical, piercing) and I use a Voidseeker Shard on it, does it mean that it now completely ignores the monsters' physical and piercing resistance?

And follow up: if void damage ignores all resistances anyway, is there any point in using Imperil with a void weapon (does it further increase the damage)?

1) yes, it ignores the piercing mitigation
though, I advice you to complete the Item World on the rapier, to get the Hollowforged potency at MAX, that is literally a permanent Voidseeker Shard on it

2) it decreases the monster's physical mitigation so yes, it increases your damage, greatly

Should I bother getting Crystarium and if so, to what rank? Can't get too far in hellfest yet, but If its worth it in the end should I get it know to start paying it off?

Cryst is not the highest priority perk. First get to the point that you can easily finish a hellfest under 1 hr. Then crystarium will be usefull. Until that time, you can get more income from arena's

Ya a full hellfest still seems a way off, was asking because if Cryst was a useful perk would it ahve been better to get it now apposed to later since cyrstals still drop in arenas and REs (thoguh far far less amount), in that case thoguh, is there any perk I should go for atm or just hoard my credits/upgrade training/use on gear? Currently have VV, EE, and IA3 for perks, adept 150, scavenger 20, LotD 12, QM 8, and Archaeologist 3 for training.

crystal perk will never vanish (or unlikely, anyway). don't be too hung up on the opportunity cost of not getting it right away =)

but you need like 400k crystal drops (before bonus crystals from perk) to break even from crystal 1 and 2, I'm jsut thinking long term.

looking at the past two days shrining the event arti feels like huge waste.
they are so easy to farm, but barely return the ED you used.

normaly i get about every 5 arti 1 ED,
but 8 ED from 96 arti, looks like huge troll! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
maybe their chance for ED are not the same as Precursor!
since not even the 58 Precursor returned atleast 11 ED. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

so i try asking here for other players their exp about this topic!

Doesn't really matter. There are a lot of theories about this but in fact the best strategy at low level is to keep your monsters at powerlevel 25. They won't win much, but bring gifts every 3 days.

Best advice: think of an incredibly funny monster name, and select the type of monster that fits that name best.

Doesn't really matter. Again, there can be pages and pages of debate on this question. Mages have some crushing mitigation but no slashing mitigation, piercing is also great, etc etc. But my advice: choose what you thinks is nice and keep low PL.

friggo and I are in the low 200s. I did raise my rapier to IW3, but it took a few passes through to get from 2 to 3.
And it's not like I have an Exquisite or Magnificent Rapier either, just a level 195ish Superior.

Not for a Superior

It's worth IWing to 10 for an Exq+ prefixed rapier with useful suffix, but below that is too low quality IMO.

one set only to qualify for post-easter rewards. all the rest, uh... either shrine them for ED/PABs or sell for credits.

you have to shrine one complete set ( different fruits ) to receive the reward at the end of the event.
all fruits are treated like precursor artifacts, just they give 1 hath instead of 2.. so you can shrine them yourself or sell them

I wonder why ppl buy them at high price. Even they have the same chance but they are easier than precursor to obtain.
