i suggest you Savage Arcanist, rather than Agile. however there's a certain user who is playing that way - Savage of Arcanist + Mace of Slaughter. he says it works but he's more of a battlecaster rather than a melee.

so he is a mage with second build as a melee 2h arcanist.
or he use that kind of build but casting magic?

that build but spamming imperil, as far as i remember. he said that Arcanist were needed in order to have more MP Tank and Magic ACC.
he was also wanted a Legendary Ethereal Mace of Battlecaster to do some experiments. just saying.

Buy free averages from the bazaar every 30 levels or so to replace your lower leveled equipment. Also forge them to 5 if you have the funds, it's really cheap.

Imperil is relatively cheap, so with some mana potions probably. Arcanist is a waste, stunned monsters can't evade. Fleet would be better because of extra evade and Shadowdancer is the best because of evade and crit chance.

I haven't used mace in ages, but the thing I remember about it is that it's SLOOOW even with Imperil. I'd say mace is a noob weapon that provides excellent defense but killing monsters without Penetrated Armor is a pain. If you're level 300+ it's better to use FUS RO DAH to stun all monsters at once and Estoc or FRD+Niten+Imperil if you really want to play a pseudo mage. It's much faster than mace and you still get that genuine pressing number keys every round experience. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
Also cast speed is additive, but attack speed is multiplicative, so it's not quite the same.

You look at an equip, and see what EDB it reports for a particular element. (Hover over for the base value rather than the scaled value)

If burden > 70, decreases physical crit rate by 2%, (capped at 120 burden).

If my burden is 82, does it mean my crit is reduced by 24%?

So i was looking at the wiki for cast speeds https://ehwiki.org/wiki/action_speed, it says Arcane Focus shares the same speed as other protection spells and is faster than restorative spells, that can't be right (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) . Whenever i use that spell i get hit by every monster still currently alive at once, usually even more so then casting Disintegrate which is suppose to be 14x slower or something like imperil where sometimes I don't get hit by a single mob that round even on PFUDOR.

do you cast AF through Channelling? it's reported to raise the amount of action time required.

Sometimes when I can, don't often get the chance in REs though where i usually notice my health taking a nose dive, though that is interesting to know. Wouldn't that make channeling a bit more hurtful in certain situations then?
