If one builds a full Legendary Power of Balance 1H build, with a Slaughter Rapier, how much Crit Chance does he reach unforged?

Slaughter > Savage Balance, but any Balance >> Protection/Warding.

I'd say similar to Light SD, maybe a little more if you forge the crit chance heavily.
The bonuses in Savage Balance are higher than Savage Shadowdancer (all four ADB, DEX, Crit Chance, Crit Damage), but you miss 5% at lv 500 from the Light ability.

maybe one higherup with uberforged gear may want to go with DW Axe + Club or Axe + Rapier.
Club + Rapier is one of the combos which is reported to work.
a Shortsword may be useful for a 1H starter due to its parry.

either way, yep, ethereal axes/clubs of slaughter still tend to fetch decent bids. shortswords don't go too well. but considered his level, he may be able to sell one to a 1H starter, given the lack of rapiers. said starter at low difficulties won't note that big of a difference between BW and PA, i guess.

hmm... you can try. but don't soulfuse it and keep it only while looking for a rapier. you can even try to IW it if you want, but more as a way to reach at least Void Strike than something else. basically just to fill the slot while still having a bit of parry.

Trust me, even a superior rapier is better if you play at least on Hell difficulty...

Protection is the best at your level. When you have no problem with damage taken then change to slaughter.
