Sorry - misread the figures... My mistake. It's L. It's one of the best shields at that level that you could wish for. You should definitely use it.

Any thoughts on what are good base stats for a rapier? I'm hearing [elemental prefix] rapier of slaughter with high penetrated armor %. If someone could link a decent rapier for my level that doesn't cost too much as a guide, I'd be much appreciated.

Why doesn't the suffix matter as much? There seems to be a big damage difference between nimble/balance vs. slaughter.

The prefix doesn't matter much, the suffix does (Slaughter is best for 1h).

it's not that the suffix doesn't matter *at all*. it's only that it has been frequently reported that for people at your level it can be hard to find proper gears, so personally i think that PA effect (read: a rapier) has priority over a little boost on ADB (read: slaughter suffix above nimble or balance, which still improve firepower in their own ways). slaughter suffix can wait a bit, if you cannot find it now.

In order of importance (or close to it):
Rapier >>> existence of a prefix > strong suffix (slaughter/nimble) > gear quality (Magnificent etc)

A prefixed rapier is the important part, everything else is much more optional.

Mage isn't really viable at all until ~310, when you get maxed Imperil (but even then I wouldn't recommend mage except for 1h mage, at least until ~350). I strongly recommend using melee (likely 1h) for the foreseeable future.

Good mage builds do exist, but you usually need quite a lot of funds for perks and forging (and then ~2m+ on gears) in addition to built-in tankyness from level scaling to be able to start playing with any reasonable amount of efficiency.

Nowadays mage is hard - you need full maching phases and cottons. So no 'elementalist' when playing holy. You need enough proficiency - so much that you need a hath perk for it. No, at your level you can best play 1h rapier/shield/power armors until level 320 or so.

oh, nice for sure. if it had 4 PABs it would've been better, but since it's lingerie of priestess i may be interested even this way. provided he wants to sell, of course (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

[edit]: however, i don't know exactly for what reason but Gossamer don't have that big of a market. it was even T2 back then...
