well im currently "farming" REs.
and i asked for a weapon in freeshop. hallowed estoc slaughter i believe. didnt receive any mail yet so i guess i wont get it.
now i just look around wts section to find some unnasigned.

although im wondering if the primary stats any good with that ethreal weapon i have. only has str and agi.
no dex. it will affect my domino strike % i believe.

If you can find one with str + dex it's better, and Void Strike is pretty important, so if the weapon is not Ethereal you'd better IW it to 10 to unlock Hollowforged.

not sure. i never used freeshop before tbh. maybe someone else can answer for you who has experience. your average longsword of slaughter should tie you over for a while tho.

Ps: Your current Ethereal Estoc is better than that one, it has better ADB.

better than the one i requested? but that one has str dex. not to mention it can go "void" once i got it to lv 10 right?

The base weapon damage of the one you have is 4.5 points higher than the FreeShop one.

IW at low levels is hard and quite time-consuming. i suggest you not to do it, unless you know that you'll use the gear for a quite long time. if you can earn a weapon with whatever prefix you'll be gine enough, +4 ADB or not +4 ADB. surely more ADB is preferrable, but with the low offer around be happy enough with a decent weapon (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

it does. at your level you should still be within the range of +1 ADB per DEX point. personally i'd prefer a DEX roll against a +4 base ADB, but we're still speaking about temporary weapons here. don't worry too much.

Don't lose your time with any freeshop equipment.

You cannot possibly get anything better than your Estoc for a looooong while. Only judging by its prefix and suffix, it's already enough to say that its one of the very best types of 2-handed weapons. To top it off, its ADB and its STR are both higher than average.

Just soulfuse it and play it till lvl300 or so. I'm not joking. You should change weapon only once you get a Magnificent that has even higher stats.

So yes, maybe your Average Katana is stronger right now, but it's only because its level is 3 times higher. If you soulfused it right now, your Estoc would be around 420-450 ADB, which is a bit above your katana. That is, I'm not counting the Void strike that stack one half of this on top of the regular Void hit. So overall your Estoc would deal roughly almost twice more damage.

if i can really use the ethreal estoc for that long, i will be so glad.
i need my credits for training also, instead trying out weapons.

Now you should worry about your armor, your proficiencies (try to profit from your low level bonus that raises your proficiency gain rate) and abilities. Around lvl100 it's time to start thinking about having a full Superior set with selected prefixes and suffixes.

The only thing that you may want to try at some point, is a 1H playstyle if you want to raise the difficulty setting.

As a side note, I was using almost the same thing than your estoc (Exquisite Ethereal Katana of Slaughter) until a few days ago.

i dont want to hit 1 thing at a time but i also dont want to be squishy while hitting many things.
thats why i think i'll stick with 2h.

as for armor. im using light. some leather deflection and random shade i got from bazaar.
already bought mag.leather deflection but i think i'll use it later. im still leveling quite fast.

for robs, it should be the same. for arenas, just avoid the 1k round penalty at low difficulties - basically, play a bit on hell and above - and you should be fine.

At your level, higher difficulty will probably very slightly increase token chance due to higher monster PL (=> higher base drop chance), but it's not by enough to worry much about.

Aside from scavenger training (item drop increase), did you also increase Luck of the Draw (rare drop increase)?

As for where to farm it, best way would be on runs that spawn a lot of monsters so grindfest would prolly be the best. If you don't like grindfest then the arenas: To kill a god, exile and dreamfall should be the best arenas for item drops since they start off with 5 monsters per turn. Or simply put, since its all luck, just do as much runs as you want daily

Things you can do are increase Scavenger and LotD / play at least Hard difficulty / grind more and more.

Well just keep on doing arenas runs or grindfest or whatever it is you run daily. Its all about luck anyway so you'll get one eventually (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I suggested a few arenas if you're not really doing that many arenas daily
