Remember to get Staff prof too by wacking monsters in the head with the Staff, it's quite important.

On your gear, press c while hovering on it to open a pop up window with the gear's stats that you can hover on to see the supposed rolls on said stats

Google "EHwiki equipment range"

Compare the stats shown on the min-max part under the equipment qualities. No need to look at base rolls or anything else. Make sure you're looking at the rows with the suffixes corresponding to your gear. You can calculate the actual % yourself with this formula:
(your equipment roll - min)/(max - min)

For starters, like I said, go to your equipment page and hover to your exquisite ethereal rapier of balance then press C to open a new window with the equipment stats. Share that link here and we can teach you bit by bit

The actual gear stats are different from the figures you'll see once you hover your mouse over them. Those stats will be your equipment's stat rolls and those are the ones you want to compare with the ones on the wiki

Usually we only consider legendary or very great magnificent,if your level is low and not have much choice then you can just go for those which has correct name(Slaughter for weapon,protection for armor,ignore Crushing,Slashing,Piercing Suffix unless you have no choice).When you have to similar piece you can compare their primary attribute(like damage for weapon,pmi for armor).

When checking your stats through that link, just hover over the +something void damage stat and you'll see that your damage roll is 23.8. When you compare that to the one on wiki under exquisite, you'll see that the range is from 23.9 to 31.67 so now you just compare which side your damage roll is nearer to. And man you got below the recorded minimum on wiki (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/faint.gif)

Yea, gotta save up those 1500 soul frags for a good mag/legendary rapier of slaughter next time. I suggest waiting for one with at least 35% adb and within your soulfuse range in the auctions. Getting a good weapon is the first step to world domination improving your runs and getting more credits for more stuff. The rest can be bought/self-dropped later as you blaze through arenas on higher difficulties thanks to your new awesome rapier. Oh and don't forget to do the Item World on your weapon. Maxed potency really helps increase your damage with the additional damage type at IW10

If you feel like you don't have enough credits for auctions, just sell your precursor artifacts. Those low roll leg./high roll mag. slaughter rapiers at the lower 300 range should be worth around 50k-250k depending on the amount of people interested.

repeat for other relevant stats. you can also go with the script, but usually wiki is a bit more up-to-date.

As for your issue with Channeling, I don't even understand why you'd activate Heartseeker while playing mage. Use Arcane Focus instead.

Unless you're a freak like me who spends a lot of time crushing the monsters with the arcane blow just so that the staff's potency rises.

As for your T3 spells being unavailable, well... you can still farm your potencies with a power set in Normal (to max out your interference, thus your mana consumption), and setting a T1 spell as mousemelee action. That works wonders.
