Got 3.5m creds to spend. What's the most efficient way to make my life in HV easier? Without linking, my rapier and shield are exquisite, most of my armor is mag shade. 210 adept learner and two autocast slots, and still occasionally die to Nintendo REs because I am bad at games.

Originally I was going to buy non-HV Hath perks but there aren't that many of those...

Get a decent set with mild forged. Everything will be easy.

Check the auctions for mag. rapier of slaughter. Then do Item World for your rapier up to max to get it to deal void damage. Then find a mag. force shield from shops or the auctions too. And try to switch to power armour since you're past 300 already

Then do what aria said and do some mild forging for them too. And by that I mean forge all the stats to 5 except for maybe magic mitigation and any elemental stuff you get from equipment prefixes

after that , try to get mag/leg rapier of slaughter (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

Now that I think about it, TheRapture, you can also go for Legendaries since you have a 3.5m budget. You can prolly buy a few from the ongoing auction right now. Spent 1m getting my power set and 750k for my legendary rapier of slaughter. At best you might get to keep 2m from your budget and still get a full legendary set (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Frankly, this equipment has actually nothing special. Not bad, not really good either. I wouldn't sell it for more than 3k Credits if I had it in my own shop.

Charged is not really a good prefix, it's just a prefix, period. Frugal would have been way better (in which case I'd sell for 4.5/5k). Also, even if you got the two good PABs, the Intelligence PAB has a bad roll.

go find an upgrade for your rapier and shield. and a set of Mag Power armors.

Charged is not really a good prefix, it's just a prefix, period. Frugal would have been way better (in which case I'd sell for 4.5/5k). Also, even if you got the two good PABs, the Intelligence PAB has a bad roll.

It means that the cast speed is much less noticeable, and probably not as needed aswell. It also means that we're talking about equipment that won't be IW'ed nor forged. The quality of mana restoration for a lvl200 player is much lower aswell.

I agree, frugals were really helpful when I was low level maging, especially my trusty focus staff with ~26% mana conservation, really helped out around ~lv150-250s.

hey, hey - melee side here. when i don't have my own opinion, i simply refer what higherups concluded with their tests. if you read carefully, i didn't say "it's" but "it's regarded as" (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

what's sure is that a lv200 who tries to go maging will have a hard time, regardless frugal prefix or not. sad but true. maging may even be the next best thing after the big bang, pasta alla carbonara and breasts but not at that level.

Doesn't matter.
Full charged will easily let you play a higher difficulty level, full frugal will let you save a bit of credits in potions.
What you wrote is why here we never recommend to mage before level 310, simply it doesn't work that well.
And note that even full frugal exquisites will give less than 15% mana conservation. Literally nothing, less than getting 3 eco on staff.
The problem with frugal is not that mana conservation is bad, is the roll that is utter crap.
If it was 2x what it is now I could understand suggesting it, but as it is now it's simply never a good prefix.

Charged is the prefix you want for cottons if you have the budget for it.
The fact that frugal may be marginally better for grinding prof is really not a good metric at all.

If you are not in a hurry for credits,every fight style is okay to use in low difficulty,you can even play magic (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I "still" 1H shade and already post stats, equip, and technique few(maybe 10 or 20 ?) pages back
but now I already made a few upgrade, why not ?
I just play PFUDOR RE for now
