I think it's cheaper to buy low grade metals rather than buying equip and salvaging them, also, buy your materials from players in the WTS subforum instead of the bazaar because the bazaar is almost always more expensive.

Next time you'll know that locking your equipment (clicking on the lock) is the magic thing to do so that your equipment remains 100% safe in your inventory.

Anyway, it's not that hard to find equipment suited to your level in the bazar, or to even drop it from the monsters. If I remember well, you should already be starting to use Superior equipment at your level.

Proficiency goes up as long as you use a style/equip.
Initially it will be a problem, since you won't have it, but eventually you will get there like it or not, so it's no big deal. The ways to make this easier are not efficient, so don't try anything special. Just play the 1h style and soon you will increase the prof on par with your level.
Exquisites are not really something that you can easily sell. Even in low levels where there are people looking for them, you don't easily find them, since they don't check the forum wts too much, plus there are free supports right and left, so unless if you get the right person at the right time, don't count on selling any of those.
As for self use, you will find quite a few people that hit the middle 300 with exquisite gear. But generally try to opt for level assigned mags+ if you can. The seemingly small % differences have a huge impact in the game.

By this I'm meaning that I'm not looking for advices like "use estoc", "longsword is trash", or things along those lines. I know very well that a Longsword is not the best weapon ever, but I just want to play a Longsword, for the heck of being cool.
Note: I'm planning on using it to clean the arenas as quickly as possible with a Power set.

I've never forged nor done any IW (I know it's not worth it for anything below legendaries), so what should I do first? The Forge or the IW? And for this case, what upgrades should I make?

I think that I'll maybe make a little effort to level up quicker just so I can soulfuse this thing.

1) Longsword is trash. And the longsword you purchased has L-11 ADB or so. Terrible.

2) The IW, then when you're sure to get the result you want7you got the result you want, you forge.

1. its stats are low. the only good ones are DEX, AGI, EDB (which is useless), ITR (which is unrelevant). i hope it was cheap at least.

2. it's the same. but personally i'd go with forge first since there's the chance to unlock a potency without doing a run. the upgrades you should look for are... uh... all the basic five, plus STR and DEX? usually ADB too, but i don't think the combo slot/rolls is worth sinking bindings of slaughter... 1) No, it has terrible ADB.
2) IW some to get desired potencies, then forge.
Don't soulfuse that, it's trash.

PS: A Mace is cooler, and plain better.

Paid 20k for it. Legendary trash or not, it's still better than my Exq Katana, thus worth using it to clean things faster. Anyway, I doubt I'll ever find something better for a lower level.

At best I may keep an eye on auctions. I saw some interesting stuff going in these.

as already suggested, Goddesses have to go at the end and Yggdrasil first. use the Gum to kill FSM, IPU and possibly RL. at this point the hard part is ended. go with the Dragons, which shouldn't be quite hard. you may want to get rid of Drogon last, but it's unrelevant. last, the goddesses.
