Not as much as you might think. I'm online most of the time, but usually doing other stuff. I use Improved Control Panel to alert me when there are new posts on threads I'm subscribed to - so when there's a post I care about, I can reply quickly (if I feel like it) - but it's not like I spend any significant time looking at the forums otherwise, except when doing research.

1) i guess you meant "potencies". if that's the case, 2H works good with Overpower, Butcher and Fatality. whatever combo of these, but i still suggest you to switch to 1H if possible. as for armors, the best potency if Juggernaut. but don't mind too much if it doesn't pop out, other potencies like Fireproof anf Holyproof are good as well.

ah, ok. no, you'd better going for Physical Damage - up to lv5. then, maybe STR and DEX with what you've spared - still up to lv5. you know, since we're speaking about percentage increments one may want to go for the stats that are already high to begin with

No bindings on equipment that isn't permanent (or at least semi permanent), so only on Legendaries or maybe Magnificents that you are going to use for quite some time.
At least that's my policy.

actually, by salvaging you'll earn back 90% of bindings, special components and materials, rounded down to the nearest integer. even so, catalysts and at least 10% of materials are permanently burnt so i would spare at least the most expensive bindings from this fate (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

What do you guys recommend to do for elemental magic prof grinding? Just go on normal/hard arenas and only spam t1 magic?

Nope, its not. I'm at 335 and my stats haven't even reached 400 yet (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) And I have 2 stats which are at 0 and 350 right now so those 4x500 are gonna be impossible at 304

uhu. those good, ol' days. i used to go at university just not to distract too much. then i found buddies and skirts to look at and it was roughly the same thing. but at least i was happier (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

There are two ways to do it. Either you:
*) Minimize the MP consumption of your spells so you can spam T1 spells 100% of the time with a mage set. In this setup you have to have no ability points on the desired spell, and try to get your mana consumption below 100%, so that your mana draughts compensate your constant usage of your MP
*) Or you do the exact opposite, which means spamming T1 spells from time to time with a Power Melee set, as it has the highest interference, hence the highest mana consumption, hence the highest probability to proc a proficiency gain per spell. In this setup you typically play normally, and wait for your MP bar to be near-full to switch to T1 spell spam, which depletes your MP bar in no time, thus does a big boost in proficiency in that short span. Of course here you may add ability points in your spells to raise their MP consumption, but personally I don't do it as I use the same build to raise all proficiencies and don't want to reset the abilities all the time.

My favorite method is the second one, as I clear the arenas faster that way, even if every few rounds I have to stop my "berserk mode" to spam the T1 spells, get a Channeling proc to refresh my buffs, then berserk again. At least that's how I got neat proficiencies in all magic stats.
