QUOTE(issary @ Jan 5 2017, 04:40) I wonder if I got GS in 2015 and forgot to join 2016 event,do I still receive a 2016 cookie?
switch HV difficulty, title and/or something like that. as far as i know, Gold Star has already been proved to be retroactively awarded with all confectionaries, maybe it will just require a bit more time to show up this way. but they will pop up, sooner or later. you have already been partly answered, as far as i see. but as a personal favor, i'd ask you if you were so kind not to use all those rollercoasting dimensions, pretty please. also, to optimize your efforts, the time needed for you to post and the bandwidth of all users you can simply post the links of your gears (you can retrieve them by hovering the name of the item with your mouse, pressing 'C' on your keyboard and copy/paste the link from the popup).

So which are the best slots to wear proficiency gear on? I have read that it isnt recommended on robes but I havent found anywhere which are the optimal ones.

Whatever you have, that is good, will do. Robe is the strongest piece in a set, so it's always better to optimize it, hence keep the damage there, that's why it's not advised. Other than that the element and the forging limits change the potential of the answer. A mage set that has element in the weapon (holy or ice for example) hardly need any cloth so shoes or gloves make the best choice if you are going to fully forge them. Wind has a little higher needs so you are starting to look at the head part more. All in all... keep body and legs phage and then, it's up to what you find that's good. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My question: IW struggles... Jug1 D1 - D2 Jug2 By experience these pieces NEVER got in my runs Jug5 before, (not that past experiences should matter, since it's a matter of RNG at the end). Anyway... What would you do in this situation? Keep going till 6 or reforge here and now? This post has been edited by Epion: Jan 5 2017, 16:50

err , mage is rarely use robe for prof slot even for non imperil holy/dark (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) for elemental ~ usually cap / gloves sometime pants (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) holy/dark ~ pants , gloves , shoes even cap (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

I never understood why robes shouldn't be used for prof. Always felt completely random and unjustified. To actually see if there are actually pieces that are better as phase then cottons I took the Peerless EDB and Peerless prof of each slot, then did EDB/prof. The higher the value is the more EDB you are losing choosing that piece as prof. Results: cap 2.047 robe 2.040 gloves 2.048 pants 2.044 shoes 2.052 Robe has actually the worst EDB/prof ratio and thus there is no real problem in using it as prof piece for non-imperil play together with shoes or gloves (depending on whay you need to reach 1.0 prof). It should only be avoided for elemental, since all that prof is not needed.

QUOTE(Scremaz @ Jan 4 2017, 15:08) even for a lv136? i'd rather prefer the granted revenue, even if maybe a bit low
I'd say it comes down to how you handle investments IRL: are you the "stocks" type or the "bonds" type? Looks like you're the latter, so you favor the "small but sure" approach. This post has been edited by Hoheneim: Jan 5 2017, 18:21

for holy mage. Katalox Prof suffix: base 16.24 Katalox Destruction/Heimdall: base 8.29 Oak: base 6.45 Robe : base 9.89 Pants: base 9.09 Cap: base 8.29 Gloves: base 7.5 Shoes: base 6.7 Katalox Prof suffix + Shoes = 22.94 Katalox Destruction/Heimdall + Shoes + Gloves = 22.49 Oak + Shoes + Pants = 22.24 Oak + Gloves + Cap = 22.24 Oak + Shoes + Robe = 23.04 I guess unforged prof base 22.24 is close 0.994 prof factor. 22.94 and 23.04 are greater than 1 prof factor.

And now I can directly see fully forged peerless prof equip. I need calc again. This post has been edited by NerfThis: Jan 5 2017, 18:48

Good luck finding everything peerless though (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) 22.94 and 23.04 are pretty good starting points for reaching 22.34/22.35 with real legendaries (meaning not unattainable peerless equips).

Random question but, do critical hits go through evasion/parry?
Like, if you roll a crit, but the monster rolls a parry, will the crit still go through or no?

I think critical hits are calculated after the hit check so I would say no. I think they can be also be resisted (spell crits) if I remember correctly.

err , nope (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) holy/dark can't use 5 phase even with peerless prof katalox , we still need 1 prof slot to reach 1.0 prof factor (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)
