So I'm a stubborn bastard who refuses to diversify my stats. The current outlook is:
STR: 102/26/0 DEX: 0/2/0 AGI: 0/0/1 END: 113/30/0 INT: 0/0/0 WIS: 110/4/0
Base Damage: 393.5 Hit Chance: 83% Crit Chance: 10.8%
Physical Defense: 26.8 Absorbed / 45.7% Mitigated Magical Defense: 31.3 Absorbed / 39.2% Mitigated
Evade: 0% Block: 35.9% Parry: 0.1% Resist: 12.7%
Ethereal Axe of the Vampire: 21% Bleed (2 Turn/276), 16% Life Drain (33.6)
Going pretty smoothly right now (Managing the 40-turn Arena on Hard, and the Schoolgirls are no problem whatsoever), but what are the chances that I'll be grinding my teeth down to chiclets later?

You are pretty crazy. If you're doing massive amounts of strength for physical damage purposes, there is a better cost per exp if you put some points into Dex. QUOTE Dexterity (DEX)
* Every point raises your Physical Base Damage by 0.75. * Every 10 points raises your Attack Accuracy by 1%. * Every 25 points raises your Attack Crit Rate by 1%. * Every 25 points raises your base chance to parry enemy attacks by 1%.
Same applies with INT and Mana. But if you're just going for a solid wall build, then if it works, it works. Though in a sense, you could spend exp for agi for some additional evasion and action speed, in turn, saving you from a ton of damage in the long run.

I bet that 1 Agility from artifacts makes you sad.

Solid Wall was certainly the intention. Focused Strength over Dexterity mainly for the bonus HP and Physical Mitigation.
Wisdom over Intelligence due to not caring about magic damage, while being heavily dependent on a good supply of MP and appreciating the bonus Magical Mitigation and Resist.
And that 1 Agility from artifacts makes me very sad. I found three artifacts today (two of them were a combined doubledrop) and two of them gave resistance crystals (albeit ones that I needed) while the third gave me Agilitorz.

QUOTE(varst @ Oct 21 2011, 19:31) Somebody asked me about poison's effect, and here's some interesting observations. 1. Poison no longer deals dark damage, since spreading poison can co-exist with Breached Defense. 2. It seems poison is classified as a dark spell though, so Breached Defense still explodes when poison's casted.
Perhaps instead of your second point, Poison does do Dark damage, but Breached Defense only "checks" for an explosion when a spell is cast, not when damage is done, which would be a bug. This post has been edited by Chounyuu: Oct 22 2011, 10:09

I can't explain why and how poison is classified as a dark spell, but I can guess removing the dark element from poison damage is intentional. It's because you can cast holt spells on poisoned monsters to deal more damage if poison deals dark damage instead of normal damage, which gives holt spells some unfair advantage. It's something like 1. Cast poison. Monster gains 'Spreading Poison' effect. 2. Cast banish. Monster gains 'Breached Defense' effect. 3. Spreading poison proc dark damage, which explodes breached defense. Spreading poison's still in effect though. 4. Repeat step 2 and 3.

It can't work like this, debuffs like breached defence explode on successful casts not on damage. I think poison still does dark damage not affected by resistances since tenboro didn't say he reverted this.

Elemental damage from spike spells triggering debuff explosions would be interesting.

Last time I checked (should be 2 months ago), the battle log said that spreading poison deals dark damage, and breached defense continually explodes when I'm only using banish. Of course, Now I cannot check back if it's from casting or damage. But then using infusion as a melee won't explode any elemental proc, so those procs should still explode from castings. It doesn't matter however; even if spreading poison only explodes on successfully casted Banish, it still gives holy spells unfair advantage.
And there's no point setting poison to deal dark damage IF resistance/weakness is not applied.

HP/MP tanks first, out of the question. Overcharge only worth picking @ lvl150+ (or in case you have 100/100 ability points training)

Remove the points from the Slow and Sleep, melee doesn't use them usually. Activate scrolls and infusions slots - you'll need 'em for bosses and high-difficulty playin'. And... It's my personal opinion, but EXP Tanks are useless. I've never used them, and still levelling up pretty quickly. If you want EXP Boost - it's more logical to train Adept Learner skill instead. So remove points from them too, and use for HP/MP Tanks as MiAla said earlier. This post has been edited by Evil Scorpio: Oct 22 2011, 16:25

Remove the ability points from Slow and Sleep, Fireball and Haste u wont need them anyway except Haste maybe. And i would remove some points from the Exp tanks. Fill Hp/Mp tanks first and then use the rest to activate scrolls and infusions slots as scorpio said before. Train Adept Learner to lv 300 its not that expensive and u will get more than enough Exp.
