How much do you Grindfest? Mage or Melee?

Tokenizer and IA are both good. Crystarium I'd say only if you do at least 3-4 fests each week, otherwise it will never pay by itself.

I'm thinking of buying the Evil Enchantress Hath Perk but I'm curious if it is worth it or not. Has anyone actually noticed a difference in how often imperil is resisted with or without the perk?

Well, if you mage more IA4 is useful (Haste, Shadow, Spark, Spirit Shield), if not it's less useful. Between Tokenizer and Crystarium, if as Sapo said "you do at least 3-4 fests each week" you could go for Crystarium, but i'd go for Tokenizer for the Chaos Tokens.

At level 500 Evil Enchantress gives a max of 50 additional prof (if you have 500 natural base prof). I'm not sure it's really worth 1000 hath.

i'd consider to go with IA4 personally QUOTE(DrasticMeasures @ Dec 21 2016, 13:44) I'm thinking of buying the Evil Enchantress Hath Perk but I'm curious if it is worth it or not. Has anyone actually noticed a difference in how often imperil is resisted with or without the perk?
uhu. 1k Hath just for Imperil to be resisted less? at this point, why not considering Force of Nature? same cost but at least it affects all your Supportive spells

Let's do some math. A fully forged Peerless Willow gives 0.48 depr prof. With EE the prof is 0.58. Apart from faster cast time let's look at the counter-resist. 0.48^1.5 X 50 = 16,6% 0.58^1.5 X 50 = 22.1% Is this worth 1000 hath? It depends, I would say it is if you're an imperil mage. Considering that imperil mages usually imperil 2-3 times per turns and cure/buff way less than 1 time per turn it's obvious which is the better perk. It doesn't matter how many spells it affects, the important part is how many affected spells you cast. This post has been edited by Sapo84: Dec 21 2016, 17:01

and what if an incoming patch suddenly nerfs Imperil? such perk would be wasted. on the other hand, boosting supportive prof may still have a meaning. just saying (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

MMI reduction may be toned down, but it will still be very useful to reduce specific mitigations. (and an incoming patch can also nerf supportive spells)

Don't worry about things that aren't concrete yet unless we have good reason to believe otherwise. Successfully landing all Imperils on tough monsters is the primary bottleneck for Imperil mage, and the perk directly reduces the number of turns required for that. Supportive prof, on the other hand, does... not much? Maybe slightly longer buff durations for skills whose duration isn't maxed, but most will have most IA if they're at the point of considering the depreciating perk. Supportive prof will slightly decrease mana costs, but not by anywhere close to enough for it to be similar to the benefit of Imperils landing notably more often. Could look at it this way: one more landed Imperil is the equivalent of 40-60 more credits during that turn. That situation would happen pretty frequently with the depreciating perk. An entire mana potion + opportunity cost of 1 turn costs around 135 credits. But it would take ages for the supportive perk to save you enough mana for that to occur.

Still, before buying Evil Enchantress, i'd ask: Did you already get Thinking Cap, Resplendent Regeneration, Dæmon Duality and Eminent Elementalist/Divine Warmage/Death and Decay(Depending on which type of mage you are)?
Those seem more important to me (pls correct me if i'm wrong).

Those seem more important to me (pls correct me if i'm wrong). For a low-level player, yeah, Thinking Cap is probably better. RR is trash given unlimited potions. Unless you're rich and have nothing to spend on, it's useless, I don't think it'll ever pay back. DD is quite good, but past a certain amount of equipment quality and forging, you'll be killing almost all monsters after 2 hits anyway, and more depreciating prof might be more attractive. You're probably nowhere close to that point yet, though. Elemental/holy/dark prof is very useful if you don't have full mitigation reduction after Imperil yet. --- Despite all this, you should really get to 310 first. Not much point thinking about getting more depreciating prof when you don't even have 0-CD Imperil yet.

No no, i'm asking for Drastic, not for me. I'm not even maging yet, i'll wait till level ~350 or so to try it out. Just getting some knowledge now.

given that he has a gold star, i'd say that RR has a lower priority - especially since he's a mage. but yep, sure. nice question.

As for the Hath Perks i already have they are: Vigorous Vitality, Effluent Ether, Eminent Elementalist, IA4 & DD. Which is why I am thinking about Evil Enchantress since my Imperils are being resisted just enough to be annoying and was hoping it might alleviate that at least a little.
