Keep using all buffs as you're doing now. (I think anything more than IA2 is very low priority)

Well, with IA2 you have to cast 5 spells at the start of each battle.
And you will probably have to cure between the casts.
Since IA3 is only 250 hath I'd say it's pretty recommended for any mage.
Having haste, spirit shield and spark already on it's pretty useful.

0.68-0.70 for elemental (assuming you Imperil, which you should if you're elemental), and probably 1.00 for holy/dark, regardless of whether you Imperil or not

So hey guys a few days ago i knew you can have another persona in the game, so i wanted to try a holy mage, any advice on how to play it (at least on normal)

1) get a holy staff
2) get 2 cottons of the heaven-sent
3) get 3 phases of heimdall
4) try to play no imperil
5) notice that it actually sucks (no defense, mana consumption out of control, not faster than a light 2H build)
6) realize that you need to invest a fuckton of credits, hath and higher levels to make holy/dark mage viable
7) cry in a corner

btw, at low difficulties your firepower will be OP anyways and for a starter MC can really help. and also any combo of Phase/Cotton, i guess.

yup , you need ALOT of credits to make 3+2 build viable compare with imperil elemental mage that need less credits to burn (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)

Thanks for your help guys, and as chromas says yeah is pretty OP for Low difficulty that's why i want it, for highers i have my OH build.

Doubt it'll reach 100k average THAT soon (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Wonder how many will raise their asking price because of this. There are still a lot of people buying below 93k too.

i agree. i don't think that currently purchasers under 90k stand a chance (unless someone really wants to sell to a particular person), but most likely mao raised the price only in order to have a bigger stock quickly. he will do it again only when a certain amount of other purchasers will reach him, which shouldn't happen so quickly.

Everything is OP at low difficulty.
Get power armor + longsword, it would probably be pretty fast @normal or hard.

Things start to get ugly for mage when you consider that at low difficulty you also have low income, but holy mage will still burn draughts, potions and even elixirs, while you need 7 spells (regen, arcane focus, spark, spirit shield, haste, shadow veil, protection) always on.

My suggestion is to wait, level up with other styles and then consider switching when you're higher level and have more credits.
It will be easier and probably more fun (grinding profs with a style that does not work very well it's a pain).

nice threshold. maybe holy/dark can be started even at 330~350 or so. all the relevant abilities are already at a good level at such point.
