yep, its effects have changed. therefore the description from back then isn't valid anymore. what veterans from that period said (most likely) wasn't wrong back then, but it's deprecated now.

Thanks. Another question: around what level should I be able to finish the Grindfest and what kind of armor/weapon would be best for this? Right now I'm using leather/2H but I could switch to something else.

much, much later. personally i suggest you to stick with arenas and REs. if you really have time to waste, do a couple of IW runs on your weapon. at least you'll earn something you really can take advantage of.

Is it wise to have that much block rate? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) is it possible to reach 95-99%? Wouldn't this be incredibly useful? Your damage would be pretty low, though, but your survival chances would be high.

Personally I wouldn't use it since it'd take me a long time to clear arenas.

After all i get wrecked at higher difficulties, with this i'm sure i'll manage.
I don't really care about getting slower, at least i'll be able to do them, and with OFC i'll speed it up a bit.

you don't need block that high (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

even with 65% block chance , you still strong enough to finish PFfest if your ADB is high enough (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)


Use fullplate will reduce your clearspeed ALOT (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

i highly doubt it. like almost every other stat (and ability), Block is added multiplicatively. iirc, back then i noted that adding a Shielding plate on top of your Shield added something like half of that piece's Block. with two pieces it would've been even worse: the more pieces you add with a certain quality, the less the benefit.
even for a mid-level, one Shielding should already be a sweet point. further than that, you'll only be killing your ADB (and possibly even Crit Chance) for almost no reason.

Starting from 66.7% with no Shielding.

What about crappy superiors? Maybe at most 2 superior power armours mixed in with your shielding gear to add a bit of damage. Or if you forged your mitigations on your shielding you can try 2 shielding + 3 power. What difficulty are you on now anyway? o.o

For now i'm on Nintendo REs and Hell Arenas, but i'm still on 1H Light Armor with an only decent shield, my Shielding Armor and great shield are going to kick in at level ~260.

Installed Reloader and Crackling cast, I reach 3-4 t/s now.

One thing that bothers me is that there are some... Visual glitches?

I'll record it in a while and show you what I'm talking about, but if anyone else is having the same issue, or has had it, what did you do to fix it?

I'm sure you need around 40k turns to finish PFfest ~ maybe more (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)

Ee'yup, block from Shielding Plate works from a different formula, not flat add up, I don't know how it works though.

Any expert got the idea how Shielding Plate's % block work?

The turns are *incredibly* fast, to the point where I have no control over it, I hover away from the monsters, minimize chrome but CC keeps attacking the monsters (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

That's a nope, man.
Sapo Reloader already has MouseMelee in it, it doesn't work well with Crackling Cast.

I should add, it doesn't work with any reloader, except Vanilla, but Vanilla doesn't reach 2t/s so I'm not picking that.
