let's put it this way. if i can spare 10~50k here and there, i have 10~50k available for lesser things. like minor loans. discounts for newbies. another image to edit. something like that.

and frankly speaking, find me a single person that really, really *needs* to forge one thing immediately, penalty the end of the world. i may understand if all that forging was a real game changer, but when you'll sink 50 bindings of the raccoon (and all the needed materials) on your armors just to see your parry raising by 0.2%, you'll see you could've even waited a bit.

If you have +1m, which you surely will for you are about to upgrade 20-50 levels of something, I see no problem in spending 10-50k more (note: only talking about catalysts, not other mats), it's not like it will affect your credit balance, at all.

And the ones that will forge Leg items will probably be high level players (meaning more income) with some exceptions like me, who is very impatient to finish upgrading everything before a specific date.

Bottom line, it comes down to whether you're impatient or not, personally, I don't mind spending a few credits instead of having to go through the WTS thread, search for someone and most likely wait half a day for them to reply.

personally i was also suggesting to people with low budget how to spare something. whether they want to do it this way or another one, it's not my business. but as i said before i like the idea of saving a bit of credits from catalysts and investing them in a gamble. if it goes bad, you simply lost credits that you already thought to have spent. if it goes well, you'll be partly returned of the investment. maybe you woon't win, but at least you won't lose. and all this by simply waiting a day more (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

i don't know a reason not to forge the first five levels of relevant stats of your gears, if cheap enough.
if you're speaking about full forge, well - that's a whole other matter. especially on the most expensive stats it's also for showoff reasons.
