QUOTE(IshimaruShun @ Nov 14 2016, 05:16) And maybe my t/s sucks because my ultrabook sucks. I notice that when I leave my ultrabook on standby then turn it on again and go straight to an arena or RE, my t/s suddenly skyrockets. Like I can see 4 turns done per sec. Then after 4+ rounds/a minute, it goes back to normal (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) Check task manager for CPU and memory usage. Something's interfering. If you see it go to 4 t/s for a bit, then it should be possible to get 4 t/s all the time, if you can get the software to cooperate. (it means the problem isn't with the hardware)

Gonna be annoying to find the culprit @_@ I don't see anything using up cpu power and network connection. Memory usage at around 50-60% with browser, antivirus and this intel storage thing taking up the majority of it. Maybe its the intel thingy. Guess I better google it.

Which browser are you using? Do you use it for normal navigation or just for HV? What scripts are installed? How many tabs are you opening when playing?

Using Firefox now with yahoo mail, hv, EH main page and 2 tabs on hv forums. So far I only have the not-vanilla reloader on.
And right now I just opened my ultrabook and the speed felt like 3+t/s during the RE I just did before posting this.

I have better t/s with 10 times the tabs opened. It's either the notebook or the internet connection.

i'd go with the connection. here at home i cannot go past the 1.5 t/s when lucky, and at a certain point it starts lagging so much that i *have* to do something else meanwhile, on two different PCs. even Reloader cannot help but simply removing the blinking, but surely it doesn't boost speed. in other two places (with completely different connections) i could reach 3 t/s without problems - in one of these places i was using a rather old mac with Windows installed, so not exactly the maximum optimization possible. whether it's the router or the line on its own is a whole other matter though... as for the notebook, if you're using one at least keep the power plug on This post has been edited by Scremaz: Nov 14 2016, 14:29

That's bad for the battery life. You should let it deplete at least until the low battery alert, then use it with the plug on but only until it's fully charged, then unplug. If you have performance issues, you can change the energy saving settings, and set higher performance with no power plug too.

If you don't move your laptop a lot, just take out the battery and leave it connected, your battery will have a longer life. I also wanted to ask something, how is the t/s calculated exactly? I'm guessing it's like this: Number of turns / time it took to complete arena Let's say 1500 turns in total, took me 20 minutes to finish the arena, it'd be 1500/1200=1.25 t/s. If this is how it's calculated, then I think it can give you pretty wrong results unless you are 100% focusing on the game. The actual t/s can be way different than what it says, for example, I see (with my eyes, and a timer) that I attack roughly 4-5 times per second, but at the end of the arena it says 1.3 t/s. The Next Round/You are Victorious pop-up, random disconnections, browser problems, the Riddlemaster (if you don't know how the ponies look like) and several other things are factorsas well, such aswatching TV, getting distracted and suddenly stop playing because you've forgotten about HV. I don't know if I said something stupid or not but I think there should be some kind of update to how the t/s is calculated. I for sure know that my t/s is at least 3 t/s. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) Maybe this was already obvious to many people and maybe it was already discussed but bear with me, I have no clue what has happened in the past, I only keep track of 2-3 threads, including this one. Also, 2nd legendary drop: http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=4efecb14b5Is it worth something? Or am I still poor (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) This post has been edited by Chraunzen: Nov 14 2016, 15:34

well , just play any low rounds arena (maybe those 20 or 25 rounds arena ) without doing anything else in your usual difficulty ~ just focus with HV than see the result (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

yep. either way, win 10 has a command to check your battery health, if someone is really worried. QUOTE(Chraunzen @ Nov 14 2016, 14:28) I also wanted to ask something, how is the t/s calculated exactly?

indeed. i don't see any other way to calculate it (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) but letting apart those times in which you leave HV open because you go fapping, looking a movie, go for a walk, go to sleep... whatever, there are people who still reach 3 t/s without too much focus on the game and people who cannot even reach 1.5 even if they don't do anything else than playing. QUOTE(Chraunzen @ Nov 14 2016, 14:28) try to check on WTB, i remember i saw one user asking for Legendary Frugal Cottons with shitty suffixes. maybe he will only give you 50k, but still worth a try.

I thought you were insulting my gear but then I searched, found this and it actually says "shitty suffix" (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/faint.gif) This post has been edited by Chraunzen: Nov 14 2016, 15:45

And a fluctuation in line voltage can power off your system and possibly fuck your work up (ok, journaled file system and everything but it's always better not to take the risk). QUOTE(ppp82p @ Nov 14 2016, 13:47) You should let it deplete at least until the low battery alert, then use it with the plug on but only until it's fully charged, then unplug.
That a bad idea if your laptop is using lithium batteries. Lithium batteries work best if they are not fully depleted, so you should always aim to keep 1/4 of your battery to be on the safe side. Unplugging is also useless since lithium batteries are very dangerous when overcharged so they cannot be charged if they are already full, the unplugging mechanism is already there for security reason, no need to manually unplug them. QUOTE(Chraunzen @ Nov 14 2016, 14:28) [cut] I don't know if I said something stupid or not but I think there should be some kind of update to how the t/s is calculated. I for sure know that my t/s is at least 3 t/s. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) I really don't see why, t/s is a measure of speed, if you do other things while playing your speed decreases. I don't understand why you think the t/s shouldn't show that (and how you would accomplish that, if you go take a piss how can the script know that you're pissing and not just reflecting on what do to next?). Don't use your main Firefox to play HV. Firefox gets visibly slower with a big history and some tabs open. Install a portable one, set to never remember history, install just greasemonkey + reloader and see how it goes.

nah, non-prof Cotton suffixes are allegedly reported as "shitty" by the market. it doesn't matter who actually says it. QUOTE(Chraunzen @ Nov 14 2016, 14:44) it actually says "shitty suffix" (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/faint.gif) oh, Shoes only? so he already closed that slot. well, try anyways (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

It's okay,I'm over 490 and my best record is 8m (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Selling equipments(auction and wts shop) only accounted for about 3% of my income. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) It's hard to get good things cheap in low level with equipment level system. My experience is get some stuff not so expensive(like legendary power of protection) and save money for mage.
